Quite accidentally we stumbled onto this restaurant on a sunday afternoon when driving from Macerata to Jesi. The restaurant also has a hotel / bar /pizzeria.
Don't be put off by the gloomy look of the exterior and the dining area. Looks oldfashioned but the food makes up for everything.
Full of local people too!
The foodportions are not too massive ( in le Marche they aren't minimalistic in their dishes ) so for the first time on this trip we were able to have a dessert...;-)
First my partner had a lovely platter of antipasti with a variety of ham, salami and many more goodies. I had a perfectly homemade bucatini with speck and pecorino, beautifully seasoned too.
Main were a mixed grill and a delicious lambstew.
The chef also did his best to present the dishes in an elegant way, something we did not encounter much on our trip till then.
The housewine was vile ( from tap ) but this was entirely our mistake. We should have chosen a bottle.
Coffee and grappa to end this delicious meal. And only set us back 63 €.
Nice waiting staff who were really friendly and did not make us feel like tourists. A nice bonus.
