Difficult to find fault with this fabulous hotel. Rooms excellent, food first class, friendly and efficient staff. Two fine golf courses and a magnificent beach nearby. The swimming pool area can be a little noisy at times. I'm not sure everyone is in favour of the music they insist on playing.

This is a lovely hotel with excellent rooms and friendly helpful staff. We are not golfers but the course looked nice. The spa is very good - but be warned to take your own swim hat or you will be charged extra! The food in the restraurant was very good. All in all couldnt fault the place and would definitely return. It is a bit remote so probably best to use it as a stopover whilst touring Spain. It is not far to the Portuguese border

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for taking time to write such a nice feedback for us. We are very happy that we could give you the possibility to enjoy your stay in the Precise Resort El Rompido.
Furthermore we will transmit all your compliments to our staff members.
But next to the recreational facilities you used here in our hotel, we have, as you mentioned, two spacious golf courses so that golfer have the possibility to spend their time golfing.
In addition to that we offer our guests a little train that brings you from the Precise Resort to the little village of El Rompido where you have the chance to take a boat to a natural finished beach. Here you can relax and enjoy the feeling of the Costa de la Luz to the full.
We look forward to welcoming you in Precise Resort El Rompido again.

the hotel is nice, but i have been in better places. we booked a room for 2 nights but on arrival we got told that only 1 night is booked and paid, so we needed to pay one night extra again! i know we dealt with travelagent, but still .... bad experience, as we have to turn back to travel agent to claim our money back.
room wasnt too clean, hair in the bathroom and dust on the bathroom floor. sofa was old and looked yukk. no equipment in the kitchen to cook, we had only 3 spoons and forks plus 3 plates :-( when asked reception why it is so then got told to tell them what we need. seriously? no kettle, no pots, no toaster, you can dream about microwave only. why we even need to ask? 4 star hotel? hmmm...
didnt visit restaurant and bar so cant say anything about it.

The Hotel is really nice, a real 5*. The staff are very friendly and pleasant (for the most part) and the 2 golf courses are top quality. One of the girls in the Golf club reception needs a course on how to smile and be friendly.
However, the food is a bit mediocre, there are some really nice touches at times, they do some really nice baked pears and banana deserts and similar items.
But I was unfortunate enough to get food poisoning along with 10 other guests, and whilst this can happen in the best run establishments (think Heston Blumenthal) This Hotel just goes into denial. you get no help at all, in fact, as far as they are concerned it must be a virus caught elsewhere (What 11 of us on the same night??)

Great hotel with 2 on site courses. Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and well equiped. Food is good with adequate choice and we enjoyed our 10 days in the sun.We had room on 2nd floor overlooking pool and 1st tee.

Room Tip: Get a room as high up as possible.

This was our forth visit in the last six years and was not as good as previous visits although the differences were small and did not spoil our holiday but took the edge of it.
1) We always get a room with a view of the pool area and first tee but his time we were on the ground floor and our view was mainly shrubbery with a glimpse of the pool in the distance
2) We had pre booked our starting times for our five rounds but when we went to the clubhouse to confirm and book our buggies we were told that on two of our days there were no buggies available. We managed to change our rest day from Saturday to Friday but could not do anything about our last day except a much later starting time of 2.30 pm which meant getting back about 7.30 which made our final evening a rush ,with packing , prize giving and dinner. Not the way our last night should have been
3) It was obvious from the buggy situation that the hotel is getting more popular and this was highlighted in the restaurant where at times the evening buffet was a bit of a scrum. noisy and queues occasionally formed waiting for tables. Full marks to the staff who did a great job and the food was in good supply and excellent quality'
4) The most irritating event concerned our departure to Faro Airport. In the past we have left the hotel at 7.30 am to arrive at Faro at 7.30am (Spain is 1 hour ahead ! ) however this time we were told that our transport would leave at 6.10 am meaning up at 5.00 am !
When we queried this and said it was unreasonable we were told it was because other passengers were to be picked up and if we didn't like it we could have our own private transfer for 120 euros. So we accepted the early start. We left the hotel just after 6.00am and guess what ? yep straight to the airport arriving at 6.10am. The check in gate did not open for another 1.5 hours so we had to stand around with our cases and clubs in the entrance hall till the gate opened. All in all we were at the airport 3.5 hours before our flight. What really annoyed us was being told an obvious lie about having to pick up others on route.
Well that gets the niggles out of the way . Did we enjoy our stay at El Rompido ? Yes we did, will we go back again ? Probably !

Room Tip: get a pool view room

Dear Mitchell,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are very happy to notice that we had the honor to welcome you the fourth time in Precise Resort El Rompido.
We are very sorry that you had during this stay some issues in which we didn’t fulfill your expectations.
The room views cannot be confirmed, except you book in advance a superior room. For your next stay, please tell us your preferences and in the way it’ll be possible we take it in consideration.
During this season you stayed with us, we have mostly golf groups and, as you noticed, the hotel was fully booked. So as well the buggies run out quickly. For your next stay, we recommend you to book them in advance.
Maybe during your last stays it was much quieter, because the golf season already finished and the summer season didn't start yet.
For your next golf holidays, we will be pleased to inform you in advance when it’s the quietest season in our resort.
Thank you for noticing that our staff works consequently to make our guests feel well attended.
Referent to the transfer pick up you mentioned: it’s an external company and the times are given by them. If you book a shuttle, usually it picks up more guests in other hotels. In your case at the end you did a direct drive; which is as taking a regular bus: there might be stops or not.
We look forward to welcome you here in Precise Resort El Rompido again.
Kind regards,

Nathalie Duran

There were four of us staying at the hotel at the beginning of May for a week and we all had a fantastic time. The food was very good and the cleanliness of the place was superb. The staff were very helpful and the evening drinks package was just what we needed after our days golf.We played golf five times in the week and relaxed by the pool afterwards which suited us especially as it was reasonably quiet.Golf is on your doorstep which is very handy.
We shall return very soon.
