Our hosts at Casa Owens, Irene and Paul, were extremely friendly and easy going and had a good knowledge of the local area so any questions were promptly answered, Breakfast was continental style but a full English, I believe, was available, however we were happy with the choices available on the continental breakfast. Our bedroom was immaculately clean as was the en suite arrangements, Just next to the bedroom was a fridge which was available for your own drinks and nibbles. It was a lovely gesture by our hosts to provide a couple of complimentary cans of beer and a bottle of prosecco and a large bottle of water. La Marina Urb has countless eating establishments several of which we used and enjoyed. We patronised the Grill Room, The Galley (sadly closing now) and The Posh Club. The latter is aimed at ex pats where they can go to enjoy a drink and entertainment. We went to watch a Rod Stewart tribute act which was really enjoyable. The club also has a separate curry restaurant (yes curry in 30 degrees) which we sampled and it matched curries in the UK probably because the chefs were authentic experts in the business. We hired a car so we were able to explore the local area. Garuccha and Elche are seaside and town locations respectively which are certainly worth a visit for the restaurants and the culture and buildings. All in all we had a great few days stay at Casa Owens. Would I return? Yes.
We had a great stay at this welcoming and friendly B&B. Our hosts made the stay even more special. They supplied us with a fridge of drinks, toiletries in the bathrooms, clean towels, a selection of tea and coffee making facilities. We enjoyed the lovely surroundings, a short ride from beautiful beaches. This B&B is close to shops, bars and restaurants, we would definitely recommend.
Stayed here for 5 nights early April. Hosts - Irene and Paul - were really friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had relating to the local area. Location of Casa Owens was central and walking distance to a supermarket and several pubs / restaurants. Tourist Information office is only a 10 minute walk away. Our room was immaculate, with tea / coffee making facilities and a fridge. An abundance of toiletries were supplied and plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobe! The room leads out to a lovely balcony overlooking the private pool, but as we were there early April, it was still a bit cool to venture in. Guardamar is a local beach, 20 minutes drive from La Marina Urb. and this is where we spent much of our time due to lovely sands and good restaurants overlooking the beach. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Casa Owens, made all the better by our hosts. Would definitely recommend and would like to return some day.
