I stayed at this Hotel whilst walking The Camino,a real quality Hotel,I was ready for some luxury after walking for 28 days and I certainly got it here.
I could not fault it,everyone was so helpful and friendly, especially the lovely lady on reception.

This hotel is a about 1 km outside the town of Arzua, it is set on a hillside and has lovely views of the surrounding valley.
We stayed here for just one night as we were cycling the last leg of the Camino. On arrival, the young lady on reception was very friendly and gave us a welcome cold drink.
Our double room was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent with some nice soap and shampoo. We decided to stay here for the evening meal and booked for 8am rather than go back into Arzua - there are several set menus for €22 per person and they can be mixed as required. While the meal was fine, I was a bit disappointed with it as I felt that my main portion was small. However my wife enjoyed her main of fish. A bottle of red wine cost €10. It would be a toss up as wether to go back to Arzua for dinner or have it here, but there is a lot to be said for being able to relax and even sit on the terrace before dinner.
Breakfast in the morning was fair with a selection of cereal, fruit ,bread ,boiled eggs and some pastries.

Room Tip: If you can swing it, a view of the gardens and valley would be nice as it is stunning.

This is really the perfect place for a good rest: very gentle welcome, beautiful and quiet place, good food, ... We feel as if we are at home. For sure, if I come back in the region, I will stop there again.

Stopped here while walking the Camino de Santiago. Beautiful setting and perfect views from the outside. The pazo itself is absolutely fantastic and I can imagine long summer evenings relaxing on the terraces watching sunsets over beautiful green valleys.

All rooms are tastefully furnished (not my taste but definitely stylish in its own genre) and the bathrooms are great (large in size, nice amenities, high shower pressure that had been lacking in most previous stop overs).

Soundproof between the rooms was however disastrous – we heard our german neighbours and could easily understand what they said and did. This really was a frustrating experience: such a remote and quiet place, but so much “internal” noise …

Unfortunately, it was raining heavily when we stopped there but we enjoyed their comfortable armchairs inside with a bottle of wine by the fireplace instead of enjoying the sun in the great gardens.

Dinner was just OK but nothing out of this world – there are no other dining options in the area, unless you want to walk back to the nearest village. Breakfast was perfect though, before walking another day on the Camino.

It is located about 15 min walk from the centre of the village but the hotel provides a free taxi shuttle for their guests. We could have easily walked the extra 1.5 km but it was raining heavily and we then decided to use their taxi.

It is a family run hotel with a delicate and easy going atmosphere. Service was absolutely perfect, friendly enough without being intrusive.

I am giving 3/5 only because of the noise issues. We shared this with the owners while we checked out and they said that it was a frequent comment. Let's hope that they will address this for future guests.

Cher client,

Dear customer,

Thanks for your comments. I'll be quick with my answer because you have been very accurate with your comment.

- It is true that we have the best facilities and the best service customer support all around, however, have a problem with some of our rooms with soundproofing, not all, but we know it exists and although we try not to those rooms where there is a problem when the hotel is full we have no choice, and does not end until the 2014 season is impossible to call the builders to increase the three walls.

- Moreover, the supply of restaurant is definitely a matter of taste but I hope next time you come to our restaurant to eat ... back to France very pleasantly surprised. I agree to it.

-The free shuttle from the entrance of the city of Arzúa to the hotel and the next morning to the road ... is TOTALLY FREE but only for customers who book through our website.

Thank you very much for your opinion. A big hug.

What an absolutely delightful place to rest after a day's walk on the Camino. The extra 1.5 km to get here is worth every m to spend time here. Elena and the other staff are highly professional in looking after guests' needs. We stayed in one of the renovated cottage rooms which was nicely furnished and well provisioned for our needs. While there is no room safe or minibar these items are not essential for a pampered stay here. Suites are located in the main building and according to another couple were beautifully appointed. The main building has several very well appointed guest lounges including library, large TV and sound system, plus a lovely outdoor terrace overlooking the countryside. There were several delicious choices for dinner with a very good range of wines, all served in the atmospheric dining area. Breakfast catered for a range of tastes. It was a pity not to be able to spend more time in this tranquil and beautiful setting.
