Not only is this a fantastic restaurant/ pub to visit for a meal but they also cater for and organise wedding ceremonies and celebrations. We had our wedding here recently (15/03/2014) and we had the most fabulous day!! We cannot recommend this venue enough!! The barn is great and the team are absolutely wonderful!! The organisation and service that they provide is second to none. Myself and my (now) husband had a stress-free enjoyable and VERY memorable day. The whole day was catered to both our personalities and thoroughly enjoyed by all our family and friends!!

A Hall & Woodhouse pub, good location just off the M20/M26, ample parking.
Took two elderly ladies for lunch on Saturday. Good menu, with option for small portions, which was taken by both the ladies.
The liver and bacon was extremely good, perfect mash, and a very tasty, sweet chutney.
Pudding selection was good, with a selection of mini puds as well. Bit disappointing that two of the items were sold out.
Service was fast and efficient.

I returned to my once-favorite pub in this area. we used to eat there every month before moving away. Last time we ate here was in July and as I recall it it was a pleasant meal but unfortunately long wait for the drinks put us off from having deserts.
This time it was a lot faster (we still had to wait for our drinks despite that the bar girl was not busy and happily chatting away with a barman.). We had very good company and did not mind to be that honest. the food was superb. Our friends, who are eating their Sunday roast there quite often, were enjoying their pork and beef as always, when we had chicken escalope and sirloin steak-just the way I always have:blue with tarragon sauce. Before that we all had starters:generous portion of bread and ham hock cakes and mushrooms. And the drinks- when they turned up at last - were good quality too. Their tanglefoot lager did not change a thing(on very good note) and our teas arrived very quickly once we mentioned this whole waiting time to another waitress, as the one serving us was busy serving another large table. And they still have they great mini puds(we wanted to try them the last time):which we loved .I really liked the selection of all but it is a bit pricey to be honest.
Overall it was great to come back and to notice that it is still the same decent quality and clean inside:Moat is not just a regular pub with drunk customers:they managed to be the perfect in-between:something for drinkers in their bar area, but somehow managed so it doesn`t become another countryside drinking kingdom-and still serves perfectly cooked home mouth-watering food

Have dined here many times and thought we (11 of us) would have an xmas meal here....... such a let down!! pate starter quite sloppy, mains.... although the turkey (not much of it) was fine, the veggies were unrecognisable, the figgy pudding was dried out, had obviously seen a turn in the micro, was served up with a measly amount of custard which i asked for some more of, but that took ages to come and by then pudding was cold !!! staff uninterested, very slow, so they didnt get the £15 service charge added at the end of the bill .
