“Nice stay”
Reviewed November 15, 2012 via mobile

A very nice b&b. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Simple little shortcomings though. No milk for coffee in the room. Only a bar of soap and no shampoo in the bathroom. These things are not costly but detract from a nice place!

We stayed a couple of nights here last month and it was beautiful.
It's a couple of kms. out of quillan, 5 mins by car, and the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful.
Accomodation is in an adjacent custom built building to the main house. You go into it for brealfast, freshly baked breads, local honey, preserves to die for. We stayed in the "Magnolias", king sized double, two large bunk beds, plenty of storage, sun-terrace facing into the garden.
There's kids playspace and a small pool for sunny days.
Our hosts were genial and helpful, speak perfect English, and a mine of local information.
It was lovely when we were there (around 23 c, the weather in summer must be awesome.
With that in m ind, all the rooms have individual air-con!
We would definitely detour if in the area just to stay here again. Absolutely recommended!

Room Tip: You could'nt go wrong here! A word of advice though. Arrive the first time in daylight to travel...

A couple of years ago we went there on our way back home from Spain. Patrick gives you a lot of information on mystic places, nice castles, stories on Rennes le Chateau etc. He also advises you where to buy the best wine.
Breakfast was very ok. Rooms were quiet new and very tidy.
Very nice and helpful hosts !!

My self and a friend stayed here for three nights as we did a motorbike trip across the south of France. We stayed in the Mandarin room and absolutely loved it. It was a good size studio with a small kitchen/ fridge and a nice bathroom. The B&B is quiet and in beautiful surroundings. We liked the location as it gave us easy access to a different thing each day.

The owners did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay and the area. Including telling us about a local hike, lending us a map with the route already marked. He also gave us advice on how/ when to see the tour de France as it was passing a town near by.

If you are looking for a very nice, relaxed few days in a very clean, well maintained B&B then I'd recommend it without hesitation.

The title says it all about the Aude and the adjacent "departements". At Le Jardin you have the option of keeping yourself to yourself in the well equipped chambres or share a little of the life of Patrick and Karine and their family - an option we chose in order to improve our french language and integrate, albeit for a short time. Le Jardin is really well located for many of the sporting activities that take place in all seasons and Patrick's knowledge of the region negates the reliance on satnav (which we do not have) and/or maps. There are spectacular Cathar castles to visit, particularly Mont Segur and Chateau de Peyrepertuse and the road infrastructure enables excursions to super locations such as Collioure, Limoux and Mirepois without too much stress. Le Jardin is ideally located away from the main road providing a peaceful home from home where one can enjoy reading a book on your balcony or see the splendour of the gorge a short but steepish climb away. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and cannot wait to get back.

I came by train and bus from the Netherlands. When I arrived in the evening I went to a restaurant in the little village and made a call to Le Jardin des Gorges. They picked me up and I stayed for two days. I had no car but every morning they asked me what I was going to do and made some suggestions and offered me to give me a ride to a a town or other nice places. Patrick is a great guide and know very much about the area and history of it. He loves to guide a trip and tell more about this historic area. Patrick and Karine were so friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was also every day a pleasure, wonderful food and every morning a little chat with them and other guests about there adventures. The chamber was very good, a clean shower, a good bed and enough room with a wonderful view outside. The last day they gave me a ride to my next place to stay, where I went for a workshop. It was a short visite with a unforgettable remembrance. Thanks Karine and Patrick.

Hallo Siska,
