Amazing place with great views from every part of the resort. Cottage was simply stunning and beautiful, even though open type planning had no issues with privacy at all. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spa facilities are also pretty good only had slight issues with mosquitoes inside the spa complex. We didn't have much verity of veg food, but whatever options was there was very good. A must stay place if you ever visit Bali, an added bonus if you enjoy scuba and snorkeling as there are great dive sights near by.

We decided to spend our December one week holiday in their premises, encouraged by the positive description in the Lonely Planet guidebook. The booking process was very smooth. The staff of Bloo Lagoon was very helpful and responsive (we did not have to wait for a reply from them for more than a couple of hours). They never said no to our preferences and were very flexible. We booked an airport pickup from Denpasar directly with them. The way takes from one to one and a half hour depending on the traffic. We found the driver paging directly at the exit. He was very polite and also gave us some information about Bali.
The village is located on the top of the hill at ten minutes walking distance from Padangbai, and the Blue Lagoon beach that offers marvelous snorkeling opportunities. When we arrived to the Bloo Lagoon we found the staff very friendly, helpful and they always make you feel like at home. The village is simply astonishing, thought to stay in harmony with the nature. When we arrived to our villa the ”wow effect” was even stronger. The villa was spacious (we stayed in no. 22) and clean, with a very well prepared kitchen which might be important if you have kids or you simply intend to self cater during your stay. The villa is semi open, which leaves the possibility to practically interact with the nature. Coming from an urban jungle this was an amazing experience for us. There is a safe in each villa which means you will not have to worry about your documents and valuables. The bedroom was equipped with fans, and as an alternative on the lower floor there was a room with an air conditioner. We did not have any problems during our stay, if not for a problem with the toilet flush that was resolved within ten minutes by the staff.
The facilities are awesome, the swimming pool is big. It is not solely recreational, because if you intend to have a swim it has a part dedicated for swimmers. The slide might seem short, but turned out to be fun. The staff at the warung beside the pool is always keen to prepare you some freshly squeezed juices, some delicious food or you can simply grab a beer.
If you would like to go anywhere in Bali, the village can arrange a car with a guide for you.
The SPA is very relaxing and the massages are enjoyable.
We definitely recommend Bloo Lagoon Village to all of those who want to unplug and relax in a natural and peaceful environment. The experience was absolutely positive, and combined with the staff positive attitude makes you want to come back.
If you don’t mind some ants in your villa, the sounds of nature like birds in the morning and frogs in the night, and provided that you understand the concept of an ecologically sustainable village then Bloo Lagoon is your ideal holiday destination. It will provide you with the perfect possibility to chill out after an exhausting and stressful year at work. Finally the only negative thing about the Bloo Lagoon Village is that you will be really depressed on your last day when you will have to leave.

This ecological village has everything the enlightened tourist would like to find in beautiful Bali.
Great location, total privacy in most villas, natural balinese atmosphere and all the comfort you need if the design of a 5 star hotel is not your basic requirement

Room Tip: We stayed in villa 24 which is completely private. Several villas seemed to offer a comparable level of privacy.

We have been visiting Padang Bai for many years and have always stayed in a cheap and cheerful guesthouse in the village, this time we decided to splurge a little and stayed at Bloo Lagoon. Wow, what a difference this made - and honestly, we would never consider staying anywhere else in town again. The resort clings to a headland with panoramic views over the Indian ocean, and Mount Agung - the towering volcano claimed by the Balinese as the abode of the gods. We stayed in a one bedroom villa, which I guess you could describe as rustic chic, with its walls of dark timber and semi outdoor bathroom overlooking the ocean. It was great to have a kitchen and dining table, and the four poster bed added a wonderful romantic allure. There was also a separate living area and patio downstairs. The villa is quite open to the elements which allowed for a fresh sea breeze. Breakfast is included, with fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals as well as excellent coffee and a choice of eggs or pancakes. The pool is simply gorgeous, fringed with pink bougainvillea and palm trees, with white temple parasols set into the shallow end so you can lounge in the water under the shade. We really appreciated the eco friendly design of the resort, which includes solar panels, organic vegetable gardens, and beautiful water gardens that filter waste water. Staff are friendly and welcoming, while manager, Gede was particularly helpful and seems truly dedicated to maintaining the environmental integrity of the resort. We can't wait to go back!
