I stayed here for a week August last year with my pre-teen children. I will have to point out a couple of faults first. The hotel was described in the brochure as having satellite tv with English channels but this is not the case, the only one is BBC World news. This is not the fault of the hotel, however, so I haven't rated the hotel down for this. The room has a fridge in the kitchen but no kettle or anything.
The food was brilliant I couldn't fault it. I am also a vegetarian and quite fussy. My kids are not vegetarian but one of them is extremely fussy and she was happy with the food. There were always plenty of tables available. Think I put half a stone on haha.
By the pool snacks were served between meals of hotdogs, burgers and toasties. Also the all inclusive wine is excellent. I have been on all inclusive holidays before where they try to make you walk all round the complex to the far corner to get the stuff you have pre-paid for in an attempt to make you buy from a closer and more convenient bar; non of that with this hotel! All upfront and no scams to get you to spend money.
The pool and surrounding areas was cleaned very thoroughly each morning as I saw from my balcony. There is a rule about not reserving sunbeds but no one follows it. I have to admit I didn't follow it either and as I am an early riser after the pool had been cleaned I would go down and put towels down, but everyone was at it. Any towels left on sunbeds in the evening are removed by the hotel staff incase people are attempting to reserve for the following day and also so the sunbeds can be washed down.
The water park was free entry by showing your all inclusive wrist band and while people were lining up to pay, you could just jump the que and walk past. It is right outside the hotel. There was a small charge for the cushions that go on the sunbeds and parasols. There were all inclusive drinks available at the water park but no food or alcoholic drinks. There were plenty of lifeguards on every water slide regulating when the next person could go down the slide and promptly blowing whistles at anyone doing anything that looked dangerous. Only bad point is that it is salt water so some goggles might be needed if it irritates your eyes. Get to the waterpark handy if you want a sunbed as it gets filled up quickly with local Spaniards on days out. There is a great atmosphere there with music playing and don omar's 'danza kuduro' being the 'theme' tune, but we never got tired of it as everyone was up and dancing to the reps doing the routine on the stage inside the water park.
I can't comment too much on the evening entertainment as I only went a couple of times. Found it to be good with 'kids cocktails' being on the menu along with ordinary cocktails, all part of the all inclusive. A bit of a shortage of chairs and tables but not too bad like other reviews are making out. Me and the kids played mini golf and were generally happy. I plan to go back for 2 weeks next time instead of 1.
