Stayed here in March with my partner and our four month old Daughter as we got a cheap 'All Inclusive' deal using Tesco vouchers and needed a break from the cold & snow !!

It is THE Scandinavian Butlins ... frequented almost exclusively by Scandinavia's peasantry ... with a sympathetic representation from some British 'steerage' !!

The hotel is really very nice as are the grounds and the Waterpark , the rooms are clean and broadly similar to Premier Inn .... with a few key differences ...

So, why the low overall rating ...

ALL INCLUSIVE :

No hair dryer or kettle ... €2.50 per day to hire ?!?! .... AI ??

Room safe ... €3 per day to hire ?!?! ... AI ??

The food though is truly very poor ... imagine it had been catered by Jack Fulton's Freezer shops and you just about have it !!

I have read other reviews where people said it is repetitive but they never left hungry ... I can see where that is true , but it does not mean the food is good, it quite simply just isn't ... it's low rent Taybarns at best !!

A special mention for Wednesday's Mexican theme night ... Hot Dogs ( mechanically recovered chicken & horse variety ) Hamburgers ( same meat quality ) and BBQ'd plain pork ribs does not constitute Mexican food !!

The breakfast is OK, lunch is passable ... evening meal is truly dreadful , after the first evening we just caught the bus into Puerto De Mogan ( €1.40 each way ) and ate in the plethora of restaurants in this lovely village just around the headland .

The 'All Inclusive' drinks option though is very good and generous, the Scandinavians certainly appreciated this fact ... from the 10:30 start right through to the 23:00 finish !!

My advice, regard this as B&B with lunch & free drinks thrown in ... then use the very good bus service to enjoy a great evening & meal in Puerta De Mogan ... there were several British couples and families on a budget who did exactly that .

Lovely place, we went as a couple and had a lovely time. This place is absolutely geared up for children and families, it is a very large complex and the staff are extremely friendly, work very hard and do their best to help if you need it. As a couple we had a room that was on the 5th floor and although there is children you don't hear them at night. The buses run regularly and are right at the end of the road, its very cheap and cheerful.
If you like to go out I highly recommend as bar called PIO PIO ask someone locally, it plays music every sunday from 3pm to 9pm much of it n English, its a bit like a warm biker afternoon and you may even get to see the sunset depending on time of year - stunning.
Bus to puerto rico cheap and quick - great for a night out or if you prefer to stay on site there is so much activity you are never bored. Food is great so much variation but do try their pizza and grilled chicken - just lovely.
The bay and beach in mogan is just stunning and there is amadores beach, very touriste but get yourself a snorkelling set and head out to the barrier to see the sealife - be warned its very deep and you need to be a strong swimmer.
Only 2 things I found slightly disappointing but certainly by no means a complaint the fridge had lots of brown staining inside but feel for keeping water cool and the water in the kids water park was very dirty again no big deal.
All in all highly recommended especially the area, somewhere quiet yet near enough night life if you want it, ask for a high floor ie 5 upwards and we even had to sleep with the balcony doors open - no problems

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor and pool view, bonus they have double beds here too so ask for a room with one.

As the title says, I recommend this hotel to everyone who embarks on Gran Canaria. Staff absolutely amazing, rooms clean, food very good. While on the beach you have to pay for sunbeds, but we did not mind. There are still many hotels but Lago Taurito and I think that Princess Taurito have free access to the Aquapark. Others must pay.

It hasn't been even two weeks ago when we have returned from Paradise Lago Taurito.
We have been staying there for one week between 20th and 27th February. We were party of four, three adults and a child. The hotel is situated in beatiful area, breath taking views of mountains and the ocean, very picturesque place. We have been allocated in room 216 with nice pool view.We have booked a family room, which was huge with kitechenette, small fridge and microwave. The balcony was very spacious with glass table and four chairs. All the rooms have got the sea view.If you wanted better sea view I would advise to ask for a room located closer to the waterpark. Hotel grounds are clean very well maintained. The water park looks amazing but we haven't used it as the water in the pools was freezing cold.We have only used the heated pool which was fine. There is lots of loungers by the pool but the best is to reserve them before breakfast as they are going quick. The weather was great, warm and sunny through all our stay.
The food was very good, lots of choice, nicely presented. We didn't like drinks, coffee was horrible, no taste of coffee at all, alcoholic drinks were very week.We did only drunk sangria and beer as they seemed to be of better quality. The food in the pool bar was very poor, had tree choices only: hot dog, hamburger and toast and they didn't even taste good!
The animation team was great, working hard, good entertainment programme. We had a chance to see Mama Mia show and we were amazed with the quality of performance. They were all great espacially Kama in the main act.We had a lots of fun that night!Well done guys!
We have made to tips, one to Mogan and another to Puerto Rico.Nice places worth visiting.
Amadores beach is a must! You won't regret if you go there.Had a lovely day at Amadores! The colour of water is just amazing and we can even managed to swim once.
The public transport is good. You can get by bus everywhere. They run very frequently I would say every ten minutes and cost only 1.40 Euro, cheap and efficient.
We have booked our transfers on via Travelrepublic. We got a good deal as we have paid £84 return with private taxi for all our party. We had no problems with them at all, it took 40 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport.Check them out before you book your transfers.I would advise you to book transfer before you go as the cab from the hotel to the airport cost £65 so it's not that cheap.
We had a wonderful time in Lago Taurito.Shame we couldn't stay longer. We are already thinking to come back sometime this summer.
I would recommend it to everyone.

Enjoy your holidays in Taurito!
