This continues to be a favourite hotel of ours, this being our third visit in as many years.

The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff on hand to assist, if required. The rooms are well and comfortably finished, with deluxe rooms offering sun beds on balconies, bottled water supplied direct to the room, slippers and bath robes, in addition to premier drinks.

Entertainment is relaxed in the piano bar, with professional acts in the largest of the bars.

Food is of a good standard and varied in the main restaurant, with a la carte restaurant also available on selected nights.

Have recently returned from a week at Suite Princess, Gran Canaria 18th-25th April 2013.
The hotel has an unspoilt view out to sea with absolutely nothing in sight.
All staff were excellent as was cleanliness.
Bedrooms could do with a sort out i.e. wardrobe doors didn't run properly and the beds have a quilted under-sheet which has a waterproof backing making you sweat.
Balconies are of an excellent size.
Air con wasn't too good, in fact most venues had low ceilings and little or no air con. This may be due to it being April and maybe it doesn't kick in till May/June time.
Food was excellent along with choice. In fact food was available from breakfast right through to dinner in the evening.
Entertainment varied but good.
The sun beds around the pool area are cramped and rather cosy i.e little space between them and a lack of shade.
It was a very quiet relaxing holiday just want we wanted without children.
Would certainly go again.

Just returned from a week at Suite Princess. Great experience for an all inclusive. Decided to upgrade - well worth it. Given top floor room which was huge with sunbeds and table/chairs on balcony. Fantastic views across the bay towards Porto Morgan - which is well worth a trip to as it's very pretty with lovely restaurants lining the harbour (cost 6.70 euros by taxi each way). Hotel has courtesy bus to Porto Morgan but leaves just after 9am and returns at 12 noon so not much time to wander. You can also get local bus there for 1.40 euros each way - runs every 15 minutes. The food was plentiful and delicious - and so much to choose from. Chefs frequently replenished dishes so food was fresh and hot. Main restaurant well maintained - empty plates quickly cleared, and always tables available. Guests and staff all very friendly. It was my husband's birthday while we were there and the hotel had picked this up from his passport so when we returned from breakfast there was a bottle of local honey rum and a box of chocolates left for him in our room - nice gesture. Evening entertainment was OK but not memorable - still plenty of other areas to sit and enjoy a drink/chat with other guests if inside theatre not your choice. As this hotel sits within a bay you are protected from the Gran Canaria winds. Not much of a walk about close by but you can take a short stroll outside the hotel in the evenings. All in all a lovely relaxing adults only holiday with wall to wall sunshine - couldn't ask for more.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms (7-9) are quieter and much larger.

Stayed for a week in mid April 2013. Did not upgrade room. Emailed hotel beforehand asking for a high floor based on other reviews - we were on floor 5. Room was very spacious and clean. Plenty hot water. Bed was huge - 6 ft I think - and the most comfy bed I have ever slept in. Air conditioning worked very well, despite the old fashioned looking control! Safe deposit box in wardrobe was 12 euros for the week - easily fits an A4 sized docs/laptop and plenty deep enough for cameras, passports, tickets, mp3 players etc. All staff very friendly and helpful. Food plentiful and good quality - lots of choice. The food at lunch could be a little warmer, but was fine. Self service drinks easy to use, with glasses and cups always well stocked, and always staff at the bar if you wanted shorts/cocktails etc. You could get large bottles of water from reception at night if you wanted it for your room. I kept the empty bottle from the room when we checked in, and re-filled it from the self service water, as this was lovely and cold. Sunbeds are close together, but we had no problems getting one, though we were by the pool by 9.30 each day chilling after breakfast. Sun came over the hotel about 10 o'clock - you need the beds furthest from the hotel for this. Sunbed reserving does go on, but most people seemed to show up. There is a mix of nationalities at the hotel - German, French and possibly dutch - but British is by far the largest percentage. Entertainment is mixed, but there are places to sit if you dont want to be near it. We didnt join in daytime activities, but the animacion team are friendly and enthusiastic, without being pushy. Unlike other hotels, when you check out at 12 on your final day, your All inclusive doesnt stop till you leave. We left at four for an evening flights, so could still have lunch and drinks in the afternoon. Would go back if the price was right (hence by rating of 4 - i would give it 4.5 if i could, but it is expensive compared to its competitors)
On a side note, Thomson advertise it as a 'couples hotel', one of the benefits being a priority drop off. this is not the case. this was the 7th hotel we stopped at after landing. we landed at 17.20 and did not get to the hotel till 19:45. have contacted them seperately about this!

Room Tip: higher rooms get the sun earlier, and less noise at night from the evening entertainment (stops abou...

We have just returned from a fortnights stay at this hotel.

On arrival we were met with a glass of chilled champagne and the check-in process was very efficient. We had upgraded to the black band and it was certainly worth it!

We were allocated a very large, comfortable room on the top floor (9th) with views across the bay to Puerto Mogan - what a view to wake up to every morning. The upgrade entitles you to sunbeds on the balcony, fridge, safety deposit box, kettle & mugs, bottled water and premium brand drinks along with bottles of red/white Rioja, rose wine and Cordinou cava on request. These were far superior to the drinks on tap! (In our opinion).

There was plenty of choice food wise for every meal. We never made it down to breakfast in the main restaurant - we always had the sleepyhead breakfast by the pool, but there was always a choice of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, bread & the cooked breakfast.

The entertainment was mixed with a mostly amateur feel, however the animation team worked really hard and were a friendly bunch. There were activities for everyone during the day.

All in all a great holiday in a lovely hotel with friendly staff - we hope to return next year!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lifts on the 7th/8th or 9th Floor (only if you upgrade to black bands).

Prior to travelling to Gran Canaria I looked on Trip Advisor and saw mostly very positive feedback, which was encouraging. Well, we have no hesitation in saying that it was the best holiday we can remember having. The accommodation was generous and very comfortable. The food was not too repetitive (often it is in all-inclusive hotels). The staff were polite and very helpful at all times. The pool area was kept extremely tidy and inviting. The entertainment team during the day were excellent in arranging a variety of activities. The evening entertainment was as good as I have seen anywhere on our travels, with a magician, two acrobats and some outstanding tribute bands throughout the week. This hotel definitely gets our positive vote!

Room Tip: We were on the 8th floor and the room was huge. It appeared that lower floors had smaller rooms
