“Great for lazy, relaxing holiday.”

Arrived home on the 14th of Jan and did not have one complaint. The hotel, food, drink and staff were all great. Cant understand the odd comment about poor food. We could not of asked for better. The staff were all helpfull and friendly, Carlos and Deniz especially kept us entertained all week with games around the pool. Would recommend this hotel to anybody.

My husband and my self arrived at the suite princess Christmas Eve about 2pm. We were given a cool glass of cava on arrival. We were allocated our time for Xmas day gala dinner. Which was 6pm. Far to early for us to eat as we did not want to come out of the sun. we got the later time for new year, There are two sittings. The gala meal for new year was lovely the steak melted in your mouth . The waiters were attentive refilling your glass. The average age group I would say is 55 plus. Our room was clean and spacious. On the down side , which did not spoil our holiday . Was the club room the seats were in lines like the pictures. There was no waiting staff to order drinks. No coffee was served in the club room. If you wanted coffee you had to walk out of the room , Through the piano bar to the coffee machine, some time you missed some of the show traipsing for coffee. There is no small bottles of water served. You had to fill a glass out of the machine. We payed £171 for ten nights. For the up grade. You got premium drinks ,a safe , fridge, flat screen TV, And sun beds with no brollys on the balcony. We thought this was expensive as the holiday cost £1500 each. The food was hot with a good choice. We enjoyed our stay.

Just Back from Gran Canaria 2 weeks staying at the Suite Princess. As with other holidays we phoned the hotel to ask for 2 rooms together [ as friends from london join us there ] and if possible a high floor. Anyway on arrival by taxi , having asked a rep if we were going to be 1st or 2nd drop off we were told we were 7th, hence the taxi. Reception greeted us by saying they had granted our requests although we now needed to pay upgrade to black band 588 euros for the 2 weeks. We naively paid and went off to our rooms. After 1 night we realised that this upgrade was not worth it at all so we approached the rep and asked if we could get our money back. This was agreed and after 3 days we had our money back and we switched rooms to the 2nd floor from the 7th and found that the room was exactly the same, also the hotel had told the reps we could change after 2 nights but they forgot to tell us so we paid upgrade for 3 nights.
Basically the upgrade consists off slippers and robes [too hot ] upgrade toiletries [ took our own ]
larger TV [ dont watch ] kettle [ took our own ] safety deposit , ok we like that and paid seperate.
Fridge [ had one on second floor ] sunbeds on balcony [ sun did not get to them till after lunch ]
Finally upgraded drinks , this i suppose was the best bit about the upgrade but we found the drinks we had were fine the beer was the same, as was the wine upstairs We didnt think it justified 42 euros a day. Also when my wife asked for a proper Tia Maria one night she was told she had to pay so on producing a 20 euro note the waiter shook his head and gave her the drink without taking the money. This we saw on numerous occasions. Back to the holiday we had an ok time though not the best we have had. Some staff were nice others pretty miserable. We felt the food was a good choice and there was plenty although it could have been hotter. The pool and grounds of the hotel were very good. Finally entertainment, on the whole very poor.
Saying that the hotel duo and the pianist were very good.
Would we go back ? they would have to iron out some issues first but probably would give it another go.

Room Tip: Rooms seem the same all have sea view

Had a fantastic stay at this adults only hotel. Great rooms, Service, Food and Staff. My only complaint is the entertainment was poor. Plenty of english tea available, but wife says the coffee from the machines was horrible, (tip- take some coffee). Recommend a visit to Megan on Friday for market, and take a taxi and visit in evening for a meal out overlooking the marina. Watersports from Taurito beach very good value for money. Could not fault this hotel or the 'Thompson' team in any other way.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week's stay over the New Year period. From the moment we arrived we felt very well looked after. The staff throughout the hotel at all levels are smiley, and friendly no matter what ime of day or night.
Our room was very large, very clean with a good sized bathroom. The bed was huge, I mean huge! Very very comfortable, slept like a log every night. The room had a spacious balcony with a table and chairs and two sun loungers. We were treated to amazing sunsets every day, truly breathtaking. The temperature according to bbc weather said it was between 19 and 21 degrees but Taurito is about 40 minutes from the airport where they take the temperature from, it was at least 25 every day. We sunbathed every day and it was 4 days before we saw a single cloud (So don't go by the Internet weather forecast!)
New Years Eve in the hotel was very special, a 5 course gala dinner and a fantastic firework display.
Over all a fantastic week's stay, very relaxing.
The one big recommendation is to visit Puerto Mogan. It's just 10 minutes in a taxi. It's a beautiful harbour, with lots of restaurants and bars. The hotel is faultless but after a week we felt like a change of scenery and a different restaurant to eat in.
Highly recommend Suite Princess for some winter sun relaxation.

Room Tip: 3008 was a lovely room. Very spacious with stunning views.

just back from another fantastic holiday at the suite princess it felt like coming home this is ore 3rd visit and cant wait to get back this Christmas the staff where all the same from our last visit which goes to say that they are happy in tier work and so are very relaxed and friendly we saw a lot of people who are on return visits to this hotel and heard no negative remarks from anyone which in a hotel this size is very unusual
The animation team were new this year but a great credit to the hotel no forceful banter and they have change the schedule with new ideas the sea spa was brilliant fun with a body scrub my skin was lovely and smooth after and the plates and yoga on the hill overlooking the sea was gentle and uplifting with a great teacher from the animation team lovely girl from Hungary
Food as always was fresh and new menus since our last visit we even had a cookery class from the head chef in which we got to make the hot canarian sauce and paella which was bril
everything else has been said about the hotel which is why when we tried in December 2012 to book for December 2013 there was only one room left
give it a try for a lovely relaxing holiday you wont be sorry.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the garden have a great ocean view it is very rare that you will hear any noise...
