My wife stayed most mornings by pool as I went diving.
Plenty of sun beds and no problem at any meals for seating,at worst a few minutes to be seated.
Food didn't blow you away but as a standard all inclusive it was good enough.
Cant comment on other rooms but ours was nice and clean and well laid out.
Common areas were spotless and cleaning was always ongoing.
Granted the entertainment wasn,t great but the more mature seemed to enjoy it and a few
even got up and danced.
For a relaxing holiday its good and if you take a taxi to port morgan you can have a nice meal there and also get a water taxi to other parts along the coast.
As for the staff we found them friendly and helpful.

This hotel is beautifully positioned just around the corner from Porto Mogan with two lovely swimming pools, one heated in winter and plenty of sun beds.
The hotel is to close at the end of March for a complete refurbishment and the area I feel they need to concentrate on is the dinning room. The food was perfectly edible but the choice was limited and very uninspired. Vegetables for breakfast but where were they at lunch or dinner?
They supply a free bus to Porto Mogan daily and Wi-Fi is charged at €19 a week.
Pool towels are supplied but you pay €1.50 to change them for clean ones.
I may consider staying at this hotel again after they reopen in November (as a Platinum Hotel) just to see the changes.

Room Tip: All rooms are sea view but their are eleven floors

Overcrowded: Particularly around the pool during the day and in the restaurant in the evening.
Noisy: Particularly in the bedrooms at night - from the amplified outdoor "entertainment" of other hotels. Noisy by the pool during the daytime due to drilling/building work on/in the hotel.
Food: Average to poor.
All inclusive drinks: Stick to G&T, everything else poor to disgusting(esp. wine!)
Entertainment: dreadful. Trying to guess what the over enthusiastic, apparently three fingered, pianist was playing was only amusing for so long. This was no joke - Les Dawson was much funnier.
The staff: Reception staff were OK. The staff in the restaurant were typically miserable.
Overall we felt that this was very poor value for money. Maybe in low season it would be better, but I doubt it. This was probably once a nice quiet little resort but, as I said above, the evenings are spoilt by noise from another hotel.

Room Tip: If you want peace and quite then go to La Palma instead!

My husband and I stayed from 12-19th January and had a lovely time.
I have heard the hotel is to be changed in March to a premier hotel and will loose it's all inclusive advantage...
The hotel could do with a lick of paint and a bit of a revamp but it was certainly fit for purpose!
The food was fantastic and there's something for everyone. At lunchtime it's quite nice to just go to the snack bar.
Men do have to wear long trousers in the evening in the main buffett!
We are in our late 20's and we did find going this time of year we were some of the youngest there but after a day or two it isn't an issue.
You won't have an problem with sunbeds, anyone leaving their towel unattended by the pool before 10am will have it removed!!
The staff on reception and the bars are fantastic and can't do enough. The entertainment in the evening is a mixed bag indeed but lots of varity.
I would reccommend getting a bus into Morgan- only a 10 min ride away and costs not more than £1 to get there!! It has plenty of boats, shops and lovely restaurants and bars and some locals around.
All in all we were very pleased with the hotel.
Tip ** Make sure you treat yourself to one of the lovely cocktails in the piano bar** :-)

Room Tip: All rooms are sea view!! Higher the better!!

Once again i feel we are inhabiting a parallell universe. We returned from the Taurito
Princess at the end of December having enjoyed yet another fabulous holiday, only to discover recently some of the ludicrous negative comments left by some people about it. As always the staff were fantastic and couldn't have been any friendlier. The entertainment was what you should expect from a hotel of this price and standard, in fact it continues to surpass many of the more pricy and supposedly upmarket hotels we have stayed at. Some friends of ours experienced tragic circumstances whilst we were there and the staff were the epitome of sympathy and compassion and were a credit to themselves and the hotel. I can only suggest that people try it for themselves and not be put off by some of these comments.

y. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not suffer from acute pretentiousness to take advantage of this venue

Room Tip: All room proide excellent sea views.

Great location, many conveniences ( ex: beverage availability, multiple bars/snack areas, free transportation to Puerto de Mogan, good daily maid service, plentiful food, close by medical care ) there were also drawbacks ( ex: very heavy food, over due for updated rooms, less than friendly staff ).

Overall, i would be open to returning to Gran Canaria, but would try a different resort next time. Not a bad place, but didnt blow us away

Me my husband and daughter (10years) stayed here from 19 dec 12 -27 dec 12, this is the first Christmas we have been in the sun and I wasnt expecting to enjoy it as much as I did the hotel was lovely in need of a little tlc (but they are refurbishing it this summer) I struggled a little with the food not because it was horrible but because it was much the same every day, they do have themed nights but it always seemed the same to me! Apart from this it was a great holiday I would definitely recommend it to anyone and we are hoping to go again Xmas 13, if you go definitely spend some time on the beach you have to pay a small fee for the sunbeds but it's worth it, there is also a lot of activities to do if you enjoy being in the sea!
