Caught up with a group of friends for drinks and dinner in the bistro. Service was incredibly good by all the bar and wait staff. Prompt, efficient and very friendly.

Food in the bistro was fantastic. Bursting with flavour. The fish pie was outstanding - the best I've ever had. Not too creamy, firm chunks of well cooked fish and prawns with a perfectly flaky pastry on top.

Dessert was equally good - malted milk parafait.

But best of all was the cocktail - elderflower sour. I think i've found my summer cocktail of choice!

Make sure you make a reservation. It's always fully booked.

Minor room for improvement - something needs to be done to dampen the noise in the bistro area (maybe a heavy rug or wall hang?). At the end of the night we had a very loud table nearby which became annoying.

Will definitely return.

Our family celebrated "Christmas in November". 8 people plus a pram. We ordered a selection of entrees and mains to share, and all food was served as expected - over a period of time. The quality and flavour of all meals was excellent.
Pork shoulder was wonderful.
Wine wasn't cheap.

Before leaving Darwin, I had a hard-copy of an online report on the Builder's Arms Thursday night special on the charcoal rotisserie; their famous porcetta. We went with Melbourne friends who were a little wary of the location but impressed once through the door. These friends and I still think we found a piece of porcetta heaven in a place just out of San Gimiano in Tuscany so this had a lot to live up to.
It was good but not quite up to our hopes so we might have to return to Italy.
Seriously though, this place is well worth a visit and we would certainly return.

At Moon Under Water. Beautifully prepared quality ingredients. What more could a person ask for. Lovely wine list too.

Kerching!

Ouch!

Might try the more casual bar/barbecue area next time.

We were looking for a sunny spot out of the breeze to have a light lunch and a cold drink
We ordered from the tasting plates, all delicious and very different, no wonder this place has a good reputation
Staff were helpful and although priced on the high side it as still value given the ambiance of the courtyard
