I must admit that i booked this restaurant whilst visiting Melbourne as i could not get in to my first two choices. I have to say that i am very glad to have stumbled across this place in my searching for good quality restaurants in Melbourne. The food was most likely the best i have experienced in Australia and i like to dine at some good restaurants! We had the degustation and i could not fault any of the food we had. A stand out was the polenta, i had never really liked polenta and my husband did not realise it was supposed to be made from corn. The taste took my breath away i would go back just for some of that. Apparently its a real process to get it to taste that great with smoking and slow cooking of the corn etc. My mouth is watering as i write this!
Aside from the food being a stand out, i must praise Leanne who must be one of the best sommeliers in Australia. Great product knowledge, genuine care that you are happy with the product, knowing exactly when to give us more time and not interrupt the flow of our conversation, and a genuinely interesting and lovely person that is passionate about her work and of course wine!
I can't emphasize enough how much i recommend this restaurant. Five stars, five stars, five stars.
