Hotel Rural La Paloma
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Me and my husband were recommended La Paloma by Jess from Cortijo Las Olivas (where we stayed). We were very impressed not only by the large and tasty paella but also by the range of local food/cheeses on offer and the amazing service. We even received flavour filled local delicacies whilst we waited for our main course. All of this at a reasonable price too. This place is a definite MUST dine! We will definitely visit again xx

We stayed over the Christmas, and the raging storm meant that we arrived to a darkened hotel without electricity. This did not diminish the warmth of the welcome however, and after a couple of hours the power returned and we were able to fully enjoy the excellent food and service at this charming small hotel. The friendly English speaking owners told us that for the 4th year they were in the Spanish Michelin guide. When you taste the Italian influenced food you soon realise why!

Stayed here for 2 days, Sunday 8th and Monday 9th September. Business trip once more as visiting clients in the area.
Family run and you are treated superbly from the moment you walk through the door.
Very clean, nice to look at and rooms are nice and cleaned every day.
Big garden with lounger area. Big pool and also has a hammock near poolside.
Views are superb and the meals are absolutely fabulous.
Especially when eating on the terrace dining area and looking at the sun going down behind the hills.
Have attached some photos.
If you want to stay in the real Spain, enjoy superb hospitality and visit some truly lovely places nearby then this is the place for you. Also attached some pics of lake Iznajar (town of Iznajar is lovely too.)
Rates to stay here are very very reasonable and includes breakfast.
I will certainly be staying here again and hope it's holiday and not business next time.

Room Tip: They are all nice.

I've enjoyed the most pleasant and relaxing week of my life, thanks to Elena and her family for the great effort in making all our wishes come true, we'll see you again next year.
Everything up to the last detail was extremely well appointed and that makes a difference with all others establishments in the area. It's definitively a must!!!

We visited this restaurant on the 18th August 2013 for my husbands birthday.
The food was fantastic and top quality with a great variety of choice on the menu plus the service i could not fault.
The outside terrace is lovely to relax on and we had the feeling of being on holiday even though we live in the area.
Thanks so much to you all for making my husbands birthday meal a success and we will definitely return and recommend you anytime.

My husband I stayed for a long weekend at the beginning of July to celebrate my birthday. We have eaten here several years ago and the food was wonderful then and still is. Elena and her mother (Mary I think) are the perfect hosts. There when you need them, in the background ready to help but leaving you in peace. The Spanish waitress/cleaning lady was very polite and charming. Pool area clean, relaxing and space to lap up the sun or shade under trees. An attractive patio area to enjoy a cool drink at the front of the Hotel and a pleasant eating area to the rear, overlooking the countryside.
Try it yourself, I don't think you will be disappointed!

Room Tip: For my husband and myself the beds were a little too firm and so were the pillows. However, we did...

A cosy small hotel with the most fantastic food and friendliest hosts; Elena and her mother Maria. A very warm atmosphere. Quiet, private parking, swimmingpool, garden and just 1 hour from Malaga airport. Oh and the veranda where you can have your meal is so nice! English Spanish and Italian spoken.
