As soon as we met roberto, the Italian national downhill skier who runs the hotel with his wife, we knew we were in for a good night. We were walking in mera during the day and booked for dinner that night. The children really wanted cheese fondue (it was the height of summer) so we all had bresaola from bormio prepared like a carpaccio with lemon juice and olive oil. What a winner. Followed that with the Italian version of cheese fondue, cheese and milk (I had potatoes instead of bread) washed down a bottle of good white wine. I would also thoroughly recommend the ice cream with local blueberries. Absolutely delicious, but of course with roberto you have to have a digestive which was much fun. Thank you for a great evening. We will be back in the winter for a ski.
I almost forgot to mention the views are probably the best I've ever seen anywhere!
