This masseria is a great place for a first night stay in the region. If the weather had been better we would have appreciated the surroundings more but unfortunately it was cold and wet in mid-October so we would have preferred to have moved on to an area with more charm. The minimum stay at this time of the year is two nights and during our visit only one dinner was offered.
Our host Rita was the highlight of our stay and together with her conversation and excellent culinary skills, which at times put us in the embarrassing position of not doing the food justice, made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Be aware that many restaurants close for the first two weeks of October for a holiday after the main season has finished.More
