B&B A Casa di Lizzy
Ranked #2 of 6 Peccioli B&B and Inns
Reviewed May 14, 2011

Staying at Casa di Lizzy was a wonderful experience! It was in a breathtaking location and her home is gorgeous. Lizzy and her husband are such kind people. Lizzy was extremely helpful giving us maps and directions to near by towns and restaurants. She is such a wonderful person she made our experience in Tuscany all the more perfect. The beds were a bit firm but the bedroom was cozy and made me feel at home. Lizzy and Lorenzo really go out of the way to make their guests feel welcome. Their homemade jam, olive oil and wine is delicious!!! It was a pleasure to stay there and I hope to visit again soon!

I spent a few days at A casa di Lizzy for New Year’s Eve with my husband and I found it really Tuscan and welcoming. The house is an old farmhouse with beautiful cross vaults in the breakfast and living rooms. The bedrooms are quite large with beams on the ceiling. You can feel the warmth and care Lizzy and her husband restored and furnished their house with.

They are always available to give you information and suggestions about the surroundings and the events that take place.

We also tasted their home made olive oil, wine and jams that are delicious.

I would like to point out that the spotless clean bathrooms are not to be shared with other guests, as Heidi wrote in her review, but each bedroom has its own private bathroom which are spotlessly clean, large and comfortable.

I really recommend a stay at A Casa di Lizzy !

We stayed for 5 nights at Casa Di Lizzy and I would have loved to stay some more days but unfortunately we had to take our plane back home. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Lizzy and her husband Lorenzo, which is always a nice thing when you have been on the road for a while. Their B&B is very cosy and quietly located & surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The rooms are spacious, very clean and again very cosy. The breakfast was excelled and offered several homemade jams and bakery.

In the immediate neighborhood, there are no restaurants but a 15-minute drive takes you to Peccioli where there are several very good / good-value restaurants like Ferretti (which was our favourite)
During our stay, Lorenzo took us for a walk around his vineyard. They also have an abundance of maps which is useful if you want to go for a walk / visit the neighborhood

All in all, a wonderful stay. We felt very at home and had a nice time talking to Lizzy and Lorenze. And not to forget : very good value for your money !

We stayed at Casa di Lizzy for only one night but we wished we had stayed longer. Lizzy (and her husband Lorenzo) welcomed us warmly showed us around her beautiful home, a large restored, Tuscan house. Our room was quite large with a double bed and the cot already made up. The room and shared bathroom were both spotless and decorated simply, with both new and restored furniture. We felt very much like we invited to stay in someone's house - which exactly how I like experience a B&B.

We have a 2 year old and instead of having to make the small trek back to Peccioli for a late lunch, Lizzy offered to make us a simple pasta. It was delicious, made from fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden and her own olive oil, a glass of wine and followed by some pecorino cheese.

Lizzy and Lorenzo grow grapes for their own simple table wine and olives for their delicious extra virgin oil. We were invited to roam the groves and vineyard. Lizzy also makes delicious (really delicious) jams from fruits that grow on the farm. We left with several pots and tin of the oil.

Lizzy was a great host and gave a lot of information about the surrounding area, including some excellent restaurants to eat out in Peccioli. (We happened to arrive on a night of a festival in Peccioli where a tenner could get your a gorgeous 3 course meal served on long tables in Piazza with the rest of the population. It was magical.)
