“Cozy Rooms and Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

I stayed two nights at this hotel, upon late arrival and the airport and the night before an early departure. The rooms were cozy and very clean. The bed was not all that comfortable, but as I had a double bed, I put one of the very thick comforters under me and the other one on top, and slept snugly. The staff is super friendly and polite, and the shuttle service to and from the airport very efficient. Lunch in the restaurant was excellent, and breakfast was of the typical bread, cheese and cold cuts variety that you find in that part of the world. The breakfast is optional, and if you don't like that type of food for breakfast, you should save your money.

Not a bad place to stay for a pre flight stop over.
Location is good with a prompt airport shuttle service door to door 5 minutes (pay for not inclusive)
You can leave your car in their secure parking cheaper than you can at the airport.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Room is very basic with no frills but reasonably well appointed with typical pension / panzio furniture and decor. The double bed was one of the hardest I've ever slept on.
Didn't like the push button timed water tap in the shower. Easily remedied by tying it tightly in the depressed position with the corner of the plastic shower curtain.
Would I stay again? Possibly but wouldn't necessarily rush back.

The location couldn't be better - just a couple of minutes from the airport. It has a shuttle and the shuttle left exactly when I was told it would. The room was good-sized. The meals were normal - the breakfast buffet o.k. but not as good as I had had in most of my other stays. The place is large and the staff efficient. My only complaint regards the water-timed devices in the bathroom. The once on the sink which was activated by holding the hands beneath the faucet did not work 80% of the time and when it did the water came out for just a few seconds. The device in the shower worked better but the water cut off after each 20 seconds. The devices saved water at the expense of convenience.

Its all you need for an airport hotel, room was fine, clean, staff were fine, i did not eat but the beer is a bit pricey at 500HUF for a pint and the guy was there at 04.00 waiting to take me to the Airport as promised, overall i would recommend it for an early flight and i may well use it again in the future for the same reason.

If you do not have much luggage and you have a travel pass just use it for the metro then 200E bus and get off at Repuloteri rendor lgazgatosag stop, all free with your pass, its about a 7 min walk from there.

Sarokhaz is a small B&B near Budapest airport, that is wonderfully decorated with a lot of attention to detail and extremely clean. Rooms are a little small but very new, however there is plenty of space around the complex to settle down to watch some TV or sit outside. There was also a nice little restaurant at the hotel front which served excellent food at reasonable cost. Staff were helpful, picked us up from the airport immediately at a surcharge and dropped us back. A great place to stay, with a wonderful local touch, if one has to be close to Budapest airport.

I travel a lot, but this is by far the worst hotel I've ever been. I never experienced such an unfriendly and disrespectful stuff. Beware of the hotel's own taxi service !!! Always ask in advance how much it costs. I was ripped off and payed more than other people who stayed in the hotel. When I complained about that, the stuff became really agressive. They did not accept credit card ONLY cash, however I saw other people paying with credit card. They did't want to give me an invoice. When I asked for an invoice, they got really angry. This is really suspect in my eyes.... So BEWARE of being fooled !!!

The bathroom was dirty, the shower didn't really work, the hotel was dirty in general. The breakfast was not good, the cutlery was dirty and disgusting.

Choose another hotel in Budapest if you want to have a pleasant stay. This hotel ruined my vacation and it should not happen to YOU !!!

Nice hotel but very loud dance music very late at night. Talked to staff; they did nothing and made me feel uncomfortable. Will NEVER stay here. 1st experience of Hungary was shocking.
