It's difficult to call it 'castle', but the inside garden and the pool is a must see for every trip to the island of Hvar.
The entrance fee is 15 kuna

Small but nice, a fragment of history tales. The house is privately owned and closed for public but you can see the fish pond and garden.

when we think of a castle we think about robin hood & the crusaders, giant thick ston walls, but in teh 16th century, even a house with garden and pool surrounded by walls was a castle. this is actually the manor of a croatian famous poet of its time, petar hektorovic, (he also designed the house)it has a nice fish pond in a patio with delicate ston carving and inscriptions, thaere is a nice garden in which he use to speaks up his poems and in the entrance you have the great invantion of his time - a lavatory!(the script above the lavatory say "know who you are and how can you be proud". i wonder what does it mean...)
you can go to the upper floor but can't enter all of it becaus this is another people's home.
a nice place to relax from the sun and the heat.
