While staying in nearby Rabac we visited the old part of Labin twice. On our first visit we walked down the trail back to Rabac, delighted we done it. Walk through the gate, quaint cobble streets, visited the beautiful church, the museum, the coal mine, the Bell Tower for stunning views of the country side. We loved walking around and exploring all the streets, so peaceful, not to be missed. We had something to eat in two lovely restaurants on the square on our two visits. Very reasonable to eat here. We though Labin Old Town was beautiful, we did not visit any other part of Labin and we did not drive.

Experiencing the coming to live of an ancient place in the late afternoon. Enjoy walking around, having great views, little places to enter and taste and explore the little shops in the old town. Take a terrace and enjoy Italian style and crowding of the place. Parking is possible close to the town, but alsoo further away is great an there is a small train to take you to the old town. Stay for diner and have an nice relaxing evening.

Labin is a nice and cosy medieval village on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic see. There are several nice restaurants for lunch and dinner, we enjoyed our dinner in Labin.

If you have ANY other option, than visiting this town - go for it! Be aware that the guard at the bell tower is a non-communicative person frustrated by the presence of tourists. He kept us waiting for 10 minuts without any explanation (to buy tickets) only to tell us afterwards that now is the break time and we may come back later. Nothing really interesting in the town.

Lovely historic hill town. Park on outskirts of town by cemetery (free parking) and walk towards town for spectacular views. Walk around walls to see statues to commemorate local historical figures who, played role in area's struggles. Beautiful church which has classical music concerts in summer months.
