We visited The Agora for a family dinner (there were a lot of us!) and I was pretty impressed by the service. All the food arrived together and the staff were very friendly. We had the two course meal deal which is pretty good value, but you have to order before 7pm. I was very impressed with the food - I had the vegetarian moussaka which was delicious. A lot of Greek food is quite greasy but this wasn't (neither was the souvlaki my partner had). Would go back again - but make sure to book as it's a popular place!

We went in just as it opened on a Friday evening. (5pm)
A family of 2 adults & 2 children.
We opted for the 2 courses for £12.50 option and were not disappointed.
For starters we ordered a plate of mixed hot meze along with a portion of Kalimari to share.
Everything was nice, hot and crispy accompanied with some lovely tzatziki. & spicy tomato relish and fresh dressed salads.
Mains were keftedes, Slovakis & mousaka. These were advertised as being served with rice. But what we got was so much better it was a mix of barley, cous cous & cracked wheat with pine nuts and had a great texture & taste.
It was all very authentic, a good balance of flavours and nice moist flavoursome meats.
Altogether with a bottle of Red & juices for the children it came to just under £64.00
We didn't feel rushed or ignored, service was friendly and attentive.

This restaurant was recommended to us as having great food. We have been to many greek islands and can report that the food here is very good and generous portions at a reasonable price. Our party of four have the meat meze as well as some calamari. The calarmari were gorgeous. The meze was plentiful and had a starter and a main oif mixed dishes to share.
All the food was great. The only slight niggle on the night was our waitress. She was not overly freindly or accomodating however the other waitress and the gentlemen who were also serving very very nice and helpful. Our waitress knocked a bottle of beer over one of our party and although she brought extra serviettes to mop up did not offer a replacement beer (not to mention the fact that our guest`s trousers were wet through). I had to point out to her that most of his drink was over the table and his clothes and suggested a replacement beer. She begrudingly went and got one whereas that should have been automatic in my opinion!
Then there was a slight mix up when we said each couple wanted the meze but she only ordered one between the four of us. However this was rectified by the lovely friendly man who was serving at other tables and another was brought fairly swiftly.
Anyway we would definitely go back despite the lapse in service as the food was so good and such good value.

After a failed attempt and longish walk to find another restaurant, we stumbled across this very pleasant Greek-Turkish café-restarant and were warmly welcomed by a friendly waiter (who also happily asked the manager if the venue we had originally sought still existed, for future reference). We opted for the £12.95 two course deal and enjoyes mezze starters, kebabs and a house-recommended stew, all of which were very tasty (they reduced my rice portion upon request but I was not convinced that the salad had been correspondingly increased). All in all, it does what it says on the tin, though I suspect that few tins are involved. well worth it for a budget meal and there is enough variety and quality to warrant returning.
