We attended a family wedding yesterday with the reception being held at this stunning hotel. From the moment we arrived the whole day was perfect. The staff were very attentive and guided us to the rear of the hotel for the drinks reception. Whilst the bride and groom were busy with having their photos taken, the guests were left to wander around the beautiful hotel and grounds. The reception itself was held in a marquee at the back of the hotel. The food was awesome, whilst the staff milled around us unnoticed. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed overnight and experienced a very well presented breakfast. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding reception, you can't go wrong with this hotel. Well done to all the management and staff!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 10 - Pashmine, which had no neighbours so was a relatively quiet room, although yo...

We had such an amazing room, with a seating area and gas fireplace. What a luxury at the end of our holiday.

Yes, the bathroom was small, but who cares when the rest is perfect?

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and it was delicious.

Room Tip: We had room 23, Duchesse.

We stayed for one night 17th April attending a family wedding, we were allocated room 19, a small attic room which had no wardrobe just a small approx 4ft built in cupboard. What was called a bathroom looked as though it had originally been a cupboard, it was 3ft deep and 7ft long, unable for 2 people to be in at the same time! The washbasin was the size of a shoebox. The shower head was in the ceiling and non adjustable with no shower caps provided.
We were extremely disappointed and asked for a change of room. The only other one on offer was room 18 which again was very small and although the shower room was an acceptable size both the room and shower where very tired and dated looking. We decided not to move. We did say to the manager that we felt that the pricing code needed reviewing as other family members had paid the same price for far superior rooms. We did look at room 20 the next day and this was of the standard that we would have expected. On checking out we again expressed our disappointment and were given a telephone number to call Nigel to discuss the matter further. He was not available when we called and 2 days later have received no response from him despite behind told that he would contact us.
All in all hugely disappointing.

Lovely hotel in pleasant, landscaped gardens just a few miles outside Leeds. Quiet and peaceful with easy and plentiful parking. All staff were welcoming and efficient. Our en-suite room spacious and comfortable (enormous bed) with good choice of toiletries and a free-standing bath in which to pamper yourself! We had dinner and breakfast whilst here, both of which were excellent. The breakfast was especially good with waiter service, crisp white table linen and wonderful views over the garden. The Eggs Benedict were superb!! Nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff; most excellent service. Unfortunately, we could only stay for the one night - we wish it could have been for much longer. Would definitely stay in this hotel again if visiting Leeds and surrounding area. Recommended. A memorable and pleasant stay.

Room Tip: When booking state which room type you require; view, bath etc.

I booked the woodlands for mothers day as my mother deserved a treat.
We arrived at reception and was told to head on through to the bar. We was given a warm welcome by staff who took our drinks orders as we sat down.
The menu was brief as you would get in a high class bistro a few good choice starters and mains. We finished our drinks and was taken to the restaurant and seated. The restaurant was beautiful georgian style, Proper crisp white table linen and napkins none of that paper stuff.
Our starters arrived i had the goats cheese and mum had the soup both very tasty.
We ordered a bottle of wine with the meal which came in a nice ice bucket and napkin to stop the drips nicely presented. The main course arrived we ordered the beef Sunday roast. The food was amazing cooked perfect, it was worth paying the little extra for the food and service quality. Mum even received some flowers at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. We finished our drinks on the terrace in the garden setting which was a perfect end to a lovely meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone who likes fine dining.

Got married at the woodlands and the 8th march 2014 and it was the best day i could have asked for! The venue is beautiful and we were blessed with nice weather so got to capture some beautiful pictures outside.

All the staff we great friendly and very helpful from the moment we decided to get married there until we left on the Sunday!

The marque is very spacious, we were very lucky to be the first wedding party in there after they had put a new one up! The marque is plan and simple meaning you can decorate it to your own taste! It was nice and warm throughout the whole day even on a night when the doors were open for the smokers.

The food was out of this world the only disappointment was that I couldn't finish it! The wine on the table was also nice and the bar was not too expensive!

The DJ came as part of the package which I was weary of but he kept the dance floor full from start to finish and was happy to take requests!

Overall it was everything I wanted and more I wouldn't have changed anything!

A special thank-you you to Jessica are wedding co-ordinator
