Had a lovely stay at this pretty unique hotel. Like over reviews state, the hotel is made up of chalets or cabins. Theses aren't in ANY way shed like! They are well decorated and highly thought through rooms. My cabin was was just what I wanted, I was at the NEC for a couple days and this is very close. Phil and his wife (owners) were lovely people, even offers lifts to the NEC both days and pick up as well. I had a parking permit so didn't need a lift, but the offer was there. See you next year for the ESS at NEC. Thank you

We just spent a night at the Redlands Guest House.

It is well appointed for the NEC and Birmingham International Airport. We arrived early for check in and went around Solihull shopping centre which is close by. It has all the most popular shops you would expect to see.

We can only say that our stay was amazing in every way. Phil and Yvonne (and their little dog) made us welcome from the start. The room was a chalet in the grounds of the house. Every detail had been thought of. The bathroom was very clean and warm with fluffy towels. The room itself had a TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, microwave, crockery and cutlery. There was an abundance of tea/coffee and cream and "proper" milk. We have stayed in hotels around the world and have never seen proper milk and cream in a guest house.

We were going to a concert at the NEC and Phil drove us and another couples there and picked us up after.

The breakfast was out of this world. The dining room was a beautifully decorated conservatory. The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juice, toast and the largest cooked breakfast we have seen.

Despite all the hard work involved, Phil and Yvonne were very friendly at all times. This is a must place to stay and we shall certainly be visiting again. It is worth the excuse of a show just to stay there.

Myself and a colleague stayed here for 2 nights while we were working at an exhibition.
We arrived early evening and were greeted by Phil & Yvonne. We were shown straight to our room which was very well appointed and very clean.
We had twin beds which were comfortable. We really liked having a fridge in the room for drinks.
All the rooms are little huts/cabins around the edge of a beautiful garden. There are also seating/patio areas which I imagine are very useful in the summer months!
Both mornings we were treated to an amazing cooked breakfast! 3 Bacon, 2 Sausages, 2 Eggs, Mushrooms, Grilled Tomato, Hash Brown and Beans! I must say it defeated us both mornings but it certainly set us up for the day as we didn't need any lunch!
There is also fruit, cereal, toast etc if you don't want a cooked breakfast! Breakfast is in their large conservatory which is set out beautifully.
Phil took us to the NEC on the Weds morning. We phoned him Weds afternoon and he was there to collect us within 10 minutes!
This Guest house is perfect for any visits to The NEC/LG Arena and we will certainly use it again in the future!
Phil and Yvonne were really lovely and they do a fantastic job of looking after their guests!

this is the third time we have stopped here. The setting is very nice with a big garden to relax in if the weather is fine. The owners are very friendly and service is great. If you are going to the NEC they will give you a courtesey lift to and from. The rooms are situated in the gardens and the fridge is stocked with water and milk as it has coffee making facilities. If you like a big fry up for breakfast then you are in luck or alternatively ask for a smaller one. Also there is a range of cereals and yogurts, fruit and toast and jam, all very fresh. All being well we will be going again next year.

Positives - very well equipped room including microwave, crockery and cutlery; quiet - we had the room furthest away from the house. Only noise was from aeroplanes which didn't really bother us; very clean; very comfortable beds; excellent transport to and from the arena for no extra charge; excellent breakfast; very good directions to hotel
Negatives - breakfast time limited to 8.00-8.30 so no good if you want a lie-in; check-out time also very early -10.00 a.m. Twin beds results in cramped room - no space for a chair or even to leave your case on the floor. However, positives far outweigh these minor negatives.

Stayed at the Redlands for two nights when going to NEC recently and could not believe the level of service and friendlyness of the lovely couple who own the property.

Rooms are all in the garden in small brick or timber units, each room is an suite and all have fridge,TV, kettle and tea making facilities. Some even have microwave oven. Small but adequate rooms, well decorated and furnished with good units etc. Summer stays would be good as there is a large garden with pond/fish and plenty outdoor seating. Yvonne and Phillip the owners are great and very helpful, even to taking you to your local venue or airport in their mini bus FREE OF CHARGE. What more can you say other than THANKS FOR A GREAT STAY.
