Stayed 2 nights, room 201. Room was fairly good size, quite a bit of storage. Only had a skylight window and blind could have been thicker - didnt really keep light out at all. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. But (and it was a big but) nearly the whole of the floor creaked really badly - there was practically no where in the room you could walk without the floorboards creaking and not just a slight creak - we felt sorry for the people in the room below. Food was good in the bar but drinks were a bit overpriced. Breakfast was fine. No bottled water in rooms though which wasnt a problem as there was a bar - so we bought a small bottle - next day we went to supermarket though as the bar charge £2.30 !!!! It is only water !!! Supermarket 19p a bottle - bit of a difference - wasnt in a glass bottle but tasted exactly the same. So remember to buy before you arrive. Otherwise staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Do not stay in room 201

We stayed for a week in Room 115, which was very spacious and had a balcony looking out over the Broads. The bed was extremely comfortable and a tall fan was provided. The room had an en-suite bath and shower, which was very easy to use and complimentry toiletries. The buffet style breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were there during the 3.30am fire alarm going off, but didn't have a long wait outside before being told it was safe to return to our rooms. There's a nice park alongside the Broads where you can sit, relax and watch the boats or wildlife. We ended up buying some birdseed to feed the very friendly swans, geese and ducks! Meals at The Wherry were reasonably priced and good, the carvery is very popular so make sure your meat choice is available before buying! However, we did find the drinks very expensive. We will definitely return one day, loved our stay.

First impressions of the hotel were quite good, and a nice view of the broads. However, the local area is very run down so be aware.
Check in was painless, and finding the rooms was easy enough. However, upon entering the room it was apparent things weren't great.
First the room (207) felt like a prison cell. It was very pokey, and the bathroom was tiny.
The bed WAS NOT CLEAN. Hairs in the bed and the duvet was stained. This is not good and very sub standard, even for a three star hotel.

Sunday lunchtime, right through to 8pm was a carvery and this was a complete free for all. I think it was organised but it didn't feel it.
The bar area was nice, yet again, no organisation, and the prices were inflated and not in keeping with the hotel.

Carvery was very good on Monday and reasonable value.
Breakfasts were very good.

I would stay again if it was just me and the wife.

Lovely seating aria outside. Waited 15 mins for food. Staff quit friendly. 8 out if 10 for the food. Not a wow but if passing and hungry would pop in. £13 a head included a drink not it price wise. Not bad.

Dirty cups in room. Unfriendly lazy staff where when the simplest request seemed an effort. Overpriced, takes advantage of setting but hotel is dated and dirty. Could be really nice, but it’s not. Breakfast like a wetherspoons pub.
