What can I say! The carvery is fantastic value for money. Only £6.95 and was just as good as mine and that's saying something. I can certainly recommend this place for food. Or best meal of the week on our boating holiday!!!

Was recently here in July 2014 for a quick pint whilst on a boating holiday and also last November 2013...
The staff were extremly friendly and helpful...
i didnt eat here but the food did look good as to what was being served...
Great seating areas outside the hotel to watch the sunset over Oulton Broad.....
All in all, clean and tidy with fantastic decorated toilets .....
A must place to visit for a drink (and maybe eat) if your on a boating holiday and need a bit of shore leave....

Stayed for a Saturday night. Hotel has a great location with nice views but the room was tiny. No air con and tv could not be made to work. The breakfast was not great - greasy fry up executed poorly. Room was very expensive for what it was. Overall v disappointing.

We are very disappointed with our 2 day stay at the Wherry Hotel last weekend.
Phoned to check availability and asked if there was a Broad facing room but we were told there were none left so admittedly accepted on that basis. But on arrival we were very disappointed to be given a room (203) which was so small we had to negotiate to get past one another, (we have stayed in larger caravans!) with only a Velux window and pervading smell of drains from the bathroom. On craning your head out of the window you did have a good view to the left but to make up for this gift - to the right were the bins, extractor vents etc. We notified reception about the smell of drains but nothing apparently was done to help eliminate it. On booking, reception also omitted to tell us that there was a wedding reception taking place on our first day - with disco (hideous choice of music to make it worse) booming below our window which we had to have open otherwise suffocate from heat and smell of drains. So a relaxing evening in our room was out of the question.
The aim of our visit was to have a nice room to relax in whilst enjoying a weekend away but all we wanted to do was get out of the claustrophobic room in the morning as quickly as possible and return as late as possible in the evening. A waste of hard earnt money!

Room Tip: Make sure you get a Broad facing room, lovely views.

Stayed overnight on a boat at Oulton Broad and was advised to try the carvery meal at the nearby Wherry Hotel . Just £6.99 for the carvery Mon-Sat , with a choice of 4 hot meats carved by the chef . We had a slice of each !!
Great choice of vegetables and too many to have every item .
The whole thing was beautifully cooked and very tasty .
It was busy at 7.30 Sat but we found a table.
Best meal I've had for many a while and at that price just super value .

Stayed at The Wherry, Oulton Broads. Had a beautiful room with a balcony and over looking the water, ducks and swans and boats. Very pretty at night as all lit up. Modern and clean. Then we wanted an evening meal. We were told to order at the bar. We stood there like lemons being ignored until I had a go at the bar person and we got served. that took about 40 minutes. We then queued for nearly an hour at the Carvery sweating hot. We were lucky as we reserved a table earlier but some people had nowhere to sit with their food. A complete cattle market. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had. A few mini boxes of cereal, a container of gone off, tangy and vile fruit salad, rock hard toast, scrambled egg, all dry with black bits in it and the bacon etc. swimming in grease. The Manager gave us the cost of breakfast back and apologised but I am of the opinion that he has to do what the bosses say! What a shame as it was a lovely hotel with good food and now it is, in our opinion, awful.

Room Tip: Always choose an executive room as so much better and have a lovely view. Eat outside somewhere!

We stayed at the Wherry Hotel for one night on this occasion. Was put in a much smaller
room with booking.com supposed to have been a deluxe double but definitely was not! as
stayed before booking through the actual Hotel would advise this to avoid disappointment.
Thankfully Sue (lovely young lady) moved us to the Honeymoon suite as no other room
available. Well the room lovely balcony etc really lovely views! But Friday night is Disco
night at two other local venues which is a regular thing! Noise a nightmare and hot weather
meant either listen to their swearing and shouting all night or boil! No air con in this hotel
shame did not put in when renovated the building. Food very good carvery was excellent!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room front bigger rooms but so noisy
