So the place itself is ok. A nice enough place to meet up with friends. It's fairly big so there's usually tables available, a few outside tables too. We visited on a Monday lunchtime during school holidays. Our order was taken fairly quickly and our starter arrived in good time. The main however took an hour to appear, and it wasn't worth the wait. Over £10 for beer battered fish chips and mushy peas. ..I should have gone to the local chippy, at least it's fresh there! The fish and batter were soggy, peas dried to the plate, chips where ok. Tartar sauce came in a heinz pot with a lid, cheap and tacky for a £10+ dish. The waiting staff were attentive but seemed very busy. Unfortunately this isn't the first time I've had food that doesn't match it's price. Drinks ok, food don't bother!

After a 4 hour journey from crewe, Cheshire my friends and I decided to pop in for some lunch with my two young daughters. Upon arrival we decided to dine outside so the children could make use of the play area. Unfortunately the tables were dirty, the chairs were broken and there was no umbrella to protect my heavily pregnant friend from the sun. We then decided to eat inside. When we went to order our food we were told there was no sticky BBQ chicken followed by no BBQ ribs and chicken. After another browse of the limited menu my friend decided on a burger... Only to be told there were none!! After another look at the menu and special board she decided to have the kick as chicken from the specials (after joking that they wouldn't even have that we were reassured that as it was a special it would defo be available) we then sat down for 15 minutes waiting for our food to arrive. InsteAd of our food arriving we had even more bad news - no kick as chicken!( at this point we actually wanted to kick as). She finally decided on the steak Americano which came 10 minutes after the rest of the food. To add to our 'wonderful' experience there was hair on our plate, no ketchup, a spoon covered in hair and half the desserts unavailable!! Although we got a full refund and the waiting staff were very apologetic, needless to say we will not be returning!!

Eight of us in a family reunion on a Tuesday at 1330 hours. First off no jacket potatoes, how do you run out of potatoes early afternoon? Then the questions was posed does the children's pasta come with a sauce, the waitress said yes and it turned up dry, the waitress said "well it always used to have a sauce on it". My wife and I had Somerset Chicken-big mistake-I had three of the smallest new potatoes ever grown and both meals were cold and unappetising. Finally one of our party order the banoffee sweet only to be told sorry no bananas. Having previously had a 5 star experience at the Fakenham branch we shall be spending our £100+ at a different venue next time we reunite in Ilminster.

Popped in a couple of times whilst in the area. It's not 5* but for what you pay the food is quite good and compares well with other chains. Service first time was a bit 'take it or leave it' but on the second visit the waitress (Laura) was brilliant. Welcoming for kids

Stopped on the way to Weymouth with the kids. Two minutes off the road to Weymouth, warm welcome , nice food with a fast service. Children played in the safe and secure play area before leaving. Would use again.
