After a short walk on a bitterly cold day we arrived in the square at Kinloch Rannoch. A welcoming sign suggested warmth. What a delight, a small gallery/gift shop and cafe. We were encouraged since it was clearly frequented by locals. A menu of the usual soup/sandwiches/paninis was augmented by Stovies- something with which the English reviewer was unfamiliar. We determined to take the risk based upon a description of beef broth with veg and corned beef accompanied by oat cakes. It was an ideal and well presented lunch for the arctic conditions but don't plan another meal anytime soon. Tasty and very filling. Staff friendly and anxious to please.
