Visited the Keys with a friend, lucky for us it was a warm sunny day so we sat in the fabulous beer garden. It was very busy but managed to order a delicious bottle of Gavi before we browsed the menu. It was the first day of a new menu and several staff were new too so it was a bit chaotic as the good weather had brought out extra diners. The menu had a good choice of dishes to suit all tastes. The girls that served us were both really cheerful and helpful although they were under pressure and new. We both went for the steak bruschetta which was presented really well ,was very tasty and cooked perfectly. We decided to have a dessert which was a bit of a let down . The chocolate tart was no more than an inch wide and was very dry and chewy not like a chocolate tart should be. It was served on a slate with a couple of strawberries and a little clotted cream ice cream which wasn't very creamy. Serving this on a slate was a bit of a disaster on a warm sunny day the ice cream melted in seconds and was running on to the table. We have eaten in the Keys a lot over the past two years and this is the first mishap. The food has always been very good and the atmosphere and staff really good so will definitely return. On a sunny day the beer garden is lovely. Yarm has a lot of eating places but this is well worth a try.
