We sadly only had one night's stay here. What a quality place this is, we had an excellent suite on the first floor overlooking the Conwy estuary, perfect views from an enormous living room & balcony.
Fabulous views from the Bar terrace with a Bombay gin in the evening sunshine, heaven.
As we were booked to go out in the evening we can only comment on breakfast; very good service with a large choice of breakfast dishes.

Room Tip: go for the estuary rooms for lovely views

Just a one night stay but we were very impressed. Modern comfortable well equipped room, great location, super views across estuary and castle. Restaurant was bit busy due to conferences so we ate in the bar but food and service were good. Very good breakfast, we will return for a longer stay

I have recently stayed at the Quay Hotel and Spa, and would have no hesitation in recommending to others.
Having looked into staying in a Hotel in the Llandudno / Conwy area the Quay Hotel seemed to fit what we wanted.
The choice was a great one.
Located overlooking the estuary and Conwy Castle, you are ideally located for both towns.
Having taken our bikes, the cycle paths are excellent and really could not have wished for a better area to visit.
The Hotel was spotless, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in a Junior Suite and I really cannot fault it, everything was top quality.
Free use of the Spa, even for the day after you have checked out!!
Welsh breakfast is also excellent and not to be missed.
So if you are looking for a quality hotel in a great location you won't go wrong staying at the Quay Hotel and Spa

Room Tip: We had room number 273 that overlooks the estuary. Even had a Oyster Catcher nesting just over the...

Have stayed at The Quays several times since it openned a few years ago. We have always thought that the rooms were really nice, but the service was not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. I have to say that after staying there last week we were really impressed with the improvement. The reception staff were excellent. I had problems connecting to the internet and they sorted my problem in minutes! The service in the restuarant and the food, were like being in a different hotel. We really enjoyed the food and the staff were friendly and efficient.
Anyone who has been disappointed, should try it now. We will definetely return. Excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Every room we have stayed has been lovely.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Quay last June so I emailed to ask if there were any spa break offers they could recommend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary in June. Cathy emailed me back really quickly with some suggestions and we decided to go for the His & Hers Spa package. The booking was really efficient and Cathy was very friendly and helpful.

We arrived to find that we had been upgraded to a suite (room 257) which was beautiful and huge and had a terrace overlooking the Estuary. The management had left us a card and some cakes in addition to the champagne that came as part of the package to welcome us back which we thought was a really nice touch. We enjoyed those while admiring the view which is always stunning but especially so as the sun came out!

We opted for a full body massage which was very relaxing and were given sorbets before we had a glass of champagne in the relaxation room. The spa itself has a great atmosphere and the treatment rooms are decked out really well. All the staff were really friendly and the therapists were excellent.

We spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool / steam / sauna which we really enjoyed. Again the staff in the pool reception were very friendly and helpful.

As part of our package we had a three course dinner and when we arrived at the dining room we were told that our table wasn't quite ready as the reception had requested a window seat for us so we could enjoy the view while we celebrated. We were happy to have a drink at the bar and we really appreciated that they had taken the trouble to request a special table for us. We were served immediately at the bar and as we were enjoying our drinks and the lively atmosphere we saw Simon who had been the Master of Ceremonies at our wedding reception. He recognised us immediately and made time to have a chat with us. We were very impressed when we got to our table and Simon had two glasses of champagne sent over.

Our waiter was very friendly and was happy to let me practice my Spanish on him!! We chose from the set menu and there was plenty of choice. Both the food and the wine were excellent and we headed back to our room very full having really enjoyed our evening.

We really enjoyed our breakfast in the morning too. There was so much choice. I really wish I had ordered something off the menu rather than the full Welsh breakfast on the buffet but that is something to look forward to next time.

If there were any negatives about the trip, I would have to say the room was a little dusty when we arrived and the pool showers weren't very powerful but these were very minor issues and did not interfere with our enjoyment of our stay at all.

All in all we had a fantastic day and night at the Quay. You made our anniversary really special and we really appreciated all the small touches. You made us feel very welcome and I look forward to spending many more anniversaries at the hotel.

Room Tip: Room 257 was like an apartment and had a fabulous view of the Estuary. High recommended!

Living locally, we use the Deganwy Quay as a venue for morning coffee, lunch, drinks etc. for business and pleasure. Regrettably the service in the bar area is far from our expectation and experience of other 5* or even 4* establishments. We recently sat for 10 minutes waiting for a waiter to come to take our order. It wasn't busy, they were just standing around chatting at the bar - this despite a Bar Manager being in attendance but not directing his staff. Eventually I got up to ask for someone to come to take our order, which they did efficiently and politely. We had no problem getting served for the second round but we did have trouble getting the bill. Back to the bar again which by this time was swarming with wedding guests placing their orders instead of taking a table and waiting for waiter service. Great location and stunning views and with a more attentive Bar Manager, could be much better.

Stayed one night with work, used the full spa facillities - pool/sauna/steam room/hydro therapy...lovely, went back up to my room for a shower and whiled away an hour relaxed and watched some Wimbledon! Beautiful evening meal of fish and chips, bottle of wine and a liquer coffee......all the staff are very helpful, friendly and clearly happy in their work - who wouldn't be at such a wonderful Hotel!!

Its a must stay Hotel!

Only downside is not to do with the hotel but other 'guests' who let their children scream and run around and climb all over furniture....either control them or go away, there behaviour and noise does nothing to enhance the relaxing atmosphere at The Quay!

Room Tip: Choose a room with Estuary views

Dear Guest

Thank you for your great feedback following your recent business stay at the Quay Hotel. Good to know you took full advantage of our relaxing Leisure Suite and enjoyed your evening with a great choice of "seaside" dining. I have forwarded your kind compliments regarding my helpful, friendly staff on to the team.

It was most unfortunate that you encountered an inconsiderate family, that perhaps should have been a little more appreciative of the tranquil atmosphere created at the Quay. Trust we can provide a more peaceful ambience for your next visit.

Look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
