Decided on a spur of the moment valentines weekend visit to Llandudno. The restaurant was fully booked on Valentines day but we managed to squeeze in on Saturday. As ever the food was excellent, the service quirky and efficient and the wine excellent and seriously good value. We have already booked in for our next visit in April. Can't wait.

I dined here with my husband and cannot fault the meal. The food was simple, fresh and beautifully cooked: redolent of meals eaten in France. I would also recommend the house wine; it was excellent. The service was good and there was a nice atmosphere. The decor is fine, but could maybe be freshened up. This restaurant is well worth a visit.

French style cuisine, always a pleasure to visit and a delightful evening. The food as always was top class, good choice of local food cooked and presented in a French style.
Ky , owner and maître d was on top form and helped to make the evening enjoyable, recommended an excellent Lanquedoc wine sourced by his family who live in that area.
My wife and me chose exactly the same dishes, the excellent soup de poisson as a starter and quayle as a main course, both very good. We could not manage the the very tempting dessert course; full and very satisfied.
A lovely restaurant to spend an evening on a horrible, wet and windy winter's night.

Paysanne is a fine little restaurant offering quality food in a quirky and intimate environment. Describing itself as a 'French country style restaurant' you could be forgiven for expecting Paysanne to be pretentious, exclusive and po-faced, but when its website includes a faux review of the 'Paysanne Cookbook' purportedly written by Dappy from N-Dubz you know that things here are done with a healthy dose of informality. The greeting at Paysanne is a warm, personal one, and you enter the dining area literally feeling as if you're being welcomed into someone's home. Quiet on arrival, the restaurant soon filled with enthusiastic diners, although it never felt oppressively crowded or so busy that service was compromised. This being a French restaurant, I chose the very tasty starter of snails ('Escargots Philippe') followed by the excellent though slightly more pedestrian main of Scottish salmon ('Saumon d'Ecosse'...of course!), rounded off with a fine and filling dessert. The standard of the food was first class, and at around £30 per head, I'd also rate Paysanne as excellent value for money...many restaurants, it must be said, charge far more for far less. Overall, Paysanne offers a thoroughly recommended dining experience, and I shall certainly return.
