“Stunning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

We are very fortunate to live quite close to Bodnant gardens so we visit fairly regularly. These gardens are simply stunning. It is quite easy to spend a whole day there and lose yourself amongst the plants.

“Lovely Gardens!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

The gardens at Bodnant are awesome and well worth a visit. The only thing I found difficult was theres a steep hill to the car park and a lot of the gardens are quite steep but once you've mastered these the place is lively and the views are stunning!

Yes Bodnant Garden is quite steep in places as it is set on the side of a steep valley. It can be a little challenging in places but on the plus side this creates some stunning views.

“Beautiful garden!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

Located but a few miles from the ancient walled-town of Conwy in North Wales, this sumptuous 80-acre garden, donated by the titled Bodnant family, who still live in the mansion, to the National Trust in 1949, is a gorgeous display. The Bodnant Garden is one of the nicest we have visited in both North America and in Europe.

“Beautiful Garden”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

In good weather could easily spend a day here walking round all the paths and taking in the information about the trees and plants, as well as the history of the house and garden. Lovely places to stop and relax in this tranquil place. It also has a nice tea room and shop. The house is still occupied by the donor family and not open to the public. The only comment I would make is that strategically placed discreet direction signs towards the exit in various places might be appreciated as the grounds are extensive and one could get disorientated if not on the main paths. Good to see it featured in TV tonight.

National Trust property.Free car park and free wheelchair hire. Toilets in car park and near the Old Mill.Waterfall under construction for an eel Pass near the bridge. PIN MILL so named that at one time, there was an industry of pin making, although the building was relocated to Bodnant from Woodchester, earlier in the 19th Century.THE POEM, or Mausoleum, is still used. Try your hand at croquet on the lawn or if you have children, try pond dipping. Friendly staff.

Thank you for your lovely, informative review. Sadly, the Croquet sets have now been packed away and the pond dipping activities were just for the summer holidays. But keep an eye on our Website or Facebook page as we have lots of activities planned for the winter months.
