This Pub/Restaurant has only recently opened after being closed for refurbishment. It has a new manager in a Geordie by the name of John Anderson, who if given the chance, greets you at the door.
The food is excellent and John is working hard at making his mark in a small Kentish village that at the moment is suffering from flooding from the recent weather.
The service is attentive and very good, and also has Bed and Breakfast accommodation. You must be prepared for work still going on in the background. But in all this is a cosy pub with heavy wood décor and a woodstove with comfy seats.
Give it a go, because I'm sure come Summer this pub will be thriving.
