We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Olde Moat House. The house is very historic and interesting, the room very comfortable with a lovely bathroom, the breakfast very good with lots of lovely fresh fruit and good selection of cooked items. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

An amazing place to stay.....We had 4 nights there and wished it had been more...
We stayed in the suite, which had a lovely room to watch television and have a relaxing chat after a full day's shopping..
Dianna and Robert were amazing hosts, and have a beautiful home that they not only welcome you into, but also make you feel as if it is your own...
They couldn't do enough for us and the other guests..
We feel spoiled by their hospitality and somewhat saddened to leave, but are planning our next trip here already..
Particularly fond of the homemade Quince and Greengage Jelly!!!!!!!!!:))))))

Room Tip: The suite is a lovely option as you have 2 rooms to choose from!!!!

We stayed in the wonderfully decadent four poster room, which provided us with a cosy retreat from the modern world. From the carefully chosen and rather quaint floral suite in the bathroom to the inviting warmth of the log fire as you arrive in the lounge - it is evident that the owners wish you a warm welcome throughout your stay.

Every evening the bed was freshly made up, and they even refilled the kettle fresh for you use. I'm not a tea drinker, but the coffee and tea facilities in the room were great - the small tin in which the coffee was kept meant that it was regularly topped up and never went stale. The bed covers felt soft and luxurious and the mattress was wonderfully comfortable.

The breakfast was second to none, with the options of fresh fruit, cereal, home made jams and condiments and a cooked breakfast with every kind of egg imaginable. You needn't worry about your left-over toast either, as Socks - a rather rotund sheep - was on hand to clear it up in his field not far from the house.

The hosts were charming and very friendly and treated us like we'd known them for years. If you prefer the cold shoulder of hotel service, stay away - but if you're in search of a truly Kentish getaway, this is the place for you.

This was the first place my wife and I stayed on our tour around the U.K for two odd weeks as we headed to Dover.
The place was full of charm and we loved staying there. The breakfast was very enjoyable with one other couple there, from America and was enjoyable to chat to them. On top of this the shower was hot, the bed comfortable and the price was right. This ended up being the best bed and breakfast we stayed at in the U.K.

We stayed for a weekend, booking two rooms (one for my parents in law). All rooms are on the fist floor of this charming house. Our room had a large en-suite which was a comfortable place to relax. All rooms are very unique and kept immaculately. The other room had a four poster bed. The bed was very comfortable and perfect for a great night's sleep.

The owners did everything possible to make sure we had a great stay. They are very attentive to all the little details, cooked a great breakfast and even booked restaurants for us. We immediately felt like old friends.

The house is between Rye and Ashford with several great attractions and lovely village pubs in the local area.

I would definitely stay again. Book directly with the owners if you can to save them a 15% booking charge.

Room Tip: The room with the en-suite was my favourite but all three rooms are fairly large, very clean and ver...

From the moment we arrived we were treated like long lost friends, the owners have taken not only great love and attention to their home but also to their guests and we loved our stay there and chats with the owners! The rooms are immaculate and beautifully unique and very VERY comfortable. The building is full of charm with many points of interest. The breakfast is superb and served in a delightful bright dining room at a beautifully laid communal table where guests can exchange ideas for days out and experiences and with the valued help of Diane and Robert, our friendly hosts!
If you are thinking of coming here......don't think - book it now!!!!!!

We were only able to stay here for one night due to them being booked, wanted to stay longer. Well, this just needs to be experienced. Do yourself a favour and just simply book... the rest will follow,... but be prepared to be amazed and seduced in the nicest possible way.

Room Tip: any room will enchant you
