Myself and a friend came due to local word of mouth. We both had the set menu priced at £7.95. I wondered what to expect for this small amount of money. Well how about a seven course meal. Wonderful service fantastic food. The balanced flavour of every course were exquisite. Highly recommended. Don't miss out on this little gem of a restaurant. Glad I travelled from Manchester well worth every mile of traveling.

“amazing resturant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

my partner and myself first visited the shapla about six months ago as they have a happy hour, 7 courses £795. We tried it out and we were amazed at the quality of the food as well as the price. The staff are lovely and sam the owner is a really nice host. Every course is beutifully cooked and fresh. We now visit nearly every week if we can and if you get the chance dont hesitate to go. It is small but thats what we like about it and above all we have not had a better indian meal to date and the narn breads are to die for. see you soon shapla we'llbe back!!

“You really have to visit Shapla!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is only a small restaurant, but definitely worth a visit. I'd advise booking, it's always full. They do a 'Happy Hour' from 5pm to 11pm (that's happy to me!!) 7 courses - 1. popadoms and chutney, 2. any starter, 3. any main meal, 4. side dish, 5. rice/chips/nan, 6. ice cream/banana fritter, 7. coffee. You just can't beat that! Every course was delicious, just didn't have room for coffee. Staff were lovely, attentive at all times.
