“Local history on your doorstep”

It was a lovely tour around the museum, to see how people worked making soap, and the pictures and paintings were awesome! the village is also worth a look at too.

“Impressive art collection”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

You don't need to go to a big city to see fantastic art, the pre-Raphaelites are well represented here as are many other classical works. I was pleasantly surprised! Lady Leverhulme had very good taste in art. Nearby is a boutique hotel and a garden centre, as well as the stunning village Port Sunlight to enjoy, where Lord Leverhulme's workers lived in the 19th century. All within 20 mins from Liverpool and 30 from Chester.

“Informative museum set in the centre of historic village”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We visited the museum in October after having a walk around the village admiring the architecture and beautiful setting. The museum was small but informative and included a good film presentation about the history of the village. We enjoyed our visit and found the museum to be well presented and worth visiting. There is also a nice cafe on site.

“Small, friendly and imformative”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Well worth a visit to this museum for a great insight into Port Sunlight and the great man that was William Lever
Have tea and a cake in the upstairs tea room then nip across the road to The Lady Lever Art gallery. Afterwards a stroll round Port sunlight itself is very relaxing.

I was impressed with the whole town of Port Sunlight. A great entrepreneur to do this whole village. Definitely should be a tourist stop its even better on a hot day and last stop the pub.
