Hard to find unconventional Premier inn that is hidden behind the pub with very little signage. Small car park to cover both guests and pub. Food restaurant OK and staff very good however breakfast a shambles and more like free for all at Butlins. Pub not part of premier inn which gave very bad value for money and I wish I had not bothered. Bathroom had paint peeling off wall and bin was coverd in dents and standard in most premierinns extremely cold. Hotel cost was £104 with breakfast absolute rip off this hotel is a £50 hotel. Expectations high but bad value and worse premier inn to date I have stayed in. Premier inn sort yourself out please ☹

Stayed here several times over the last few weeks after a break of a few years. Although it’s an ugly 1960/70s style building the hotel has been refurbished to premiere inn standards and is nice and comfortable, clean and friendly.
Breakfast is next door in the Ship inn which I believe is not part of the premier inn and is ok. However food in the pub itself is terrible, microwaved and not good. Ideally I’d advise to avoid the ship.
In general though the premier inn is good value and I’d recommend.
