............for your stay if you want to be within easy reach of Bristol City Centre but still enjoy a high quality service that this hotel has to offer - nice decor, clean and comfortable room, high quality restaurant and very friendly staff who go that extra mile to make you feel special. Deserve more STARS!!! Would definitely not hesitate to go again.

Room Tip: recommend room facing gardens

I've stayed here a few times on business trips and have always had a pleasant stay. The hotel is of a good standard, the restaurant is very good and the staff are attentive. There are cheaper alternatives in the area, but I will come back here again rather than go to the generic chain hotels.

Comfortable room and bathroom. Good food. Attentive staff. Nice artwork. As good as it gets at a small hotel. Happy to stay again.
Why on earth trip advisor wants more text is beyond me. Better things to do with my time. Loved the hotel, so what more can I say?????

I often have to travel to Bristol for Business and have stayed in many different hotels, but this is definately my favourite. The staff were friendly and very helpful and I will be going there again soon

We stayed at this hotel for one night this week in a deluxe twin on a dinner bed and breakfast price of £180. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, it looks like a chunk of money has been spent. Our room was well designed and decorated with a good bathroom. Dinner was very good, you can see that the management try to maintain high standards. Of course, this is only possible if you have the right staff and that is where this hotel really does well. So many hotels these days seem to be cutting right back to the bone on staffing levels, but at the Alveston there always seemed to be plenty of polite, eager and professional staff at hand. Well done!
Only one little niggle, in the bar they only had on draught Guinness and Carlsberg. Why no draught beers only bottles?
To sum up, this hotel is a tad on the expensive side but we feel it is worth it and it is good to see a small, independent hotel doing well.
