Lype Park is a really well kept hall and park and is well worth a visit. Located some distance to the south of Manchester it isn't the most convenient place to get to without a car, but it is posisble to get there by train and bus if you are willing to walk a bit. Once at the park you can enjoy a huge area with pleasant walks.

Had a lovely afternoon here with my husband. Always wanted to see it for real after it featured in Pride and Prejudice as 'Pemberley' and it is as stunning in real life as it was on the tv screen. Even on a fairly dull day there were stunning views to be had. You can see all the work that is put into running the estate, and the many staff we spoke to were all very knowledgeable and friendly. The interior of the house was very nice but fior me the exterior and grounds were the best part. There is also a very good children's play park and plenty of young families visiting do feed the ducks or just walk in the stunning surroundings, We had a piece of cake and drink in the tea rooms which were very nice. Highly recommended for all ages.
