Stopped 2 nights for a walking weekend with friends. The hotel is sat right on the river with a little bridge across. Nice warm welcome from the staff. Open fire in the lounge. Nice large room with a view of the river. Very good breakfast. Overall a very enjoyable weekend and would highly recommend.

Excellent location in Malham. Well organised to cater for a large number of visitors. Made welcome when we arrived (late) and given helpful advise on where to get a meal. Room was quite small and bathroom had drain smell, but otherwise was quite adequate. Good breakfast.

How could you not love this place? The surrounding national park is breathtaking and the village of Malham is pretty as a picture. We were taken with the charm of beck hall from the moment we set foot on the bridge that leads you to the accommodation. The bridge might be somewhat of a problem if you have a large amount of luggage, but as we only had overnight gear it was not an issue, and help was offered if needed. There is a cosy lounge to relax in and free WIFI if needed. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever encounted outside of my own at home, a really welcome aspect of the stay! Breakfast was lovely and service was quick but friendly - you do need to nominate what time you want breakfast on checkin, but this ensures a smooth and quick service. We did find it a little hard waiting until 10.15 to check out and would advise you check out the night before if you need a quick getaway in the morning. Overall a lovely place to stay and I would definately stay again.

I stayed at Beck hall in August 2012 with my mum. I would really recommend staying here if you are thinking of visiting the lovely village of Malham in the Yorkshire dales. The main building itself is interesting, from the 17th century, and you have to cross a little bridge made of stones to get there. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room (which was in the new annexe behind the main building) was lovely and clean, the beds had massive comfy matresses! Plenty of tea, coffee, hot choc and biscuits to keep us going! The breakfast was fab, lots of choice and much of it from local farms. There is a lounge for guests, and an honesty bar which is a novelty! Although I didn;t try anything :-) honest!

this was one of the few splurges on my trip as i generally try to find rooms that are under 35 pounds (getting harder and harder to do though). It would have been spectacular in good weather, as opposed to the rainiest April on record, but it was very comfortable. Lovely bed and room by the beck. A little challenging to get the bags across to the room from the car park. The lounge area was very welcoming, with a fire and a dog, and i admired the walkers who were finishing off their long day of hiking there. I'll have to revisit one day so i can sit out on the grass and watch the water flow by.

Lovely quaint band b in the heart of Malham. Fantastic for walking and sight seeing and in a great position next to the river. Slept very well in a comfy bed and found the place very clean. Only problem was I could not work the TV as it was Sky.

Room Tip: a room at the front would look out onto the river
