Called in for one pint while up in the area for the weekend. Ended up having a gallon, eating what is possibly the best pie I have ever had in my life (Steak and Wainrights ale pie). The Wainright ale was just bob on, I do not think I can think of a better way to spend an evening!

Had a 2 night stay in Malham and called in each night for something to eat,the food was fantastic and just what was needed after a day walking in the surrounding area. Me and my fiancée got sat next to the roaring log fire and could have stayed all night. Food wise try the rib eye steak, gotta be one of the best I've had in many years, my fiancée had the fishermans deli board (and despite having a tiny appetite) polished the lot off both nights. Looking forward to coming back soon and keep up the great work.

Thank you very much for such a positive review, We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the food and would recommend our lovely Rib Eye Steak. The roaring fires are always a lovely place to sit by after a cold long walk up in the hills. We look forward to welcoming you both back here to the Lister Arms.

Kind regards,
Manager at the Lister Arms.

After a mornings hike and with muddy boots welcome I decided to stop off here for a spot of lunch. It's a cosy modern pub right in the heart of Malham with stove fires. The menu is good with a good variety of good pub food and its average price so that was great. It does a good selection of beer including a few different Belgian beers.

I had the Whitby Scampi and Apple and Blueberry Crumble for afters, both of which was presented in a nice way... All washed down with a nice pint of Warstiener (German Pils).... Well worthy stop.

This is a great little pub - decent real ales and a menu with a bit of variety to on it to give you some interesting ideas. We were there on burns night weekend and there were 'specials' on both nights. The fillet steak and garlic mashed potato was particularly good. Compared to the buck inn round the corner, the choice and quality of food is better here ( this was confirmed by a few local people we met - "eat at the lister, drink at the buck") . Prices are about fair for the quality - the staff were also very attentive , nothing was too much trouble.
