This is a small place, few tables, and a young chef who likes to experiment.
What a treat! The food was exquisite, we went back twice to try the other dishes as we really couldn't choose.
I tasted the fillet with a mustard sauce that melted in the mouth, a braised steak in a wine sauce and the carne salada (a kind of cured meat) with the rosti and goat's cheese and they were all excellent.
However, I would advise anyone to check the ingredients with the waitress (very kind and helpful, by the way) as the descriptions on the menu are not always complete. For example, I had the lemon and olive oil cake with walnut ice cream for dessert which was truly delicious, but the cake also had hazlenuts which weren't specified on the menu.
A starter and main course, with dessert, carafe of wine and coffee cost around 30 euros per head. Really excellent value.
