“Well worth the visit”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and Padres Tubby Clayton and Neville Talbot, founders of Toc H gave comfort and assistance to thousands of soldiers during WW1. You can even see the original Toc H lamp in the 'Upper room".

“Well Worth A Visit”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

Loved this place especially as it has been kept as it was during & after the war. Great idea to make a place to chill during the conflict.

Rooms & gardens are lovely. Dont forget to visit the chapel at the top, watch steep stairs,as it is really nice. There is tea available free with admission as it was the traditional thing to do back then.

There is a B & B hear as well.

About a 20 minute walk from the train station.

“Beautifully kept museum”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

This house is a beautifully kept memorial to the men who used it between 1915-1918, away from the front line. We took our free cup of tea in the lounge as the seating area was very busy. The lounge looked preserved in that era. The stairs to the chapel are very steep but if you can manage it, so well worth looking at. Helpful and friendly staff and a very special place to think back and remember. B&B available for very reasonable rates.

“Stepping back in time”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

This is not your normal museum. It is actually the house used by troops to rest away from the front line. The staff although young were very informative and helped bring the whole experience of what it would have been like too life. The young guide also added some of his own family experiences which made it all the more personal. You also get a nice cup of tea.
Would certainly recommend.

“Nice view into life behind the lines during WW1”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

Beautiful well kept building that offers a different approach to show life behind the lines during WW1. The expo downstairs is a bit messy, to many reading panes without an oversight andd can be skipped if you have visited other museums with the same theme. Stay overnite is possible and that might bee a nice idea.
