The service was simply not acceptable. We booked a table and arrived on time but other people were already sitting there so they were relocated.

The people at the next table had been waiting for half an hour to place their order.

We ordered our starters then after 40minutes followed up and it was clear that our order had been forgotten. Starter arrived 20 minutes later.

The rest of the meal was fairly smooth and the food was good. The staff all looked very young and inexperienced.

I won't be going back.

We had dinner at Bungalow Thai on New Years Eve before watching the fireworks on the harbour.

We sat on the platform seating on the street - brilliant !

The service was great the staff were all very friendly and happy, in no time we had menus and bottled water on our table. We ordered Pad Thai, crispy lemon chicken and a duck dish. The food came out quickly, while waiting we sat and watched all the people hiking the hill going to the fireworks a lot in fancy dress go by, I think even on a normal night it would be an awesome spot to people watch.

The Pad Thai was scrumptious the noodles were so thin and tasty, the skin on the crispy duck was so good, but the crispy lemon chicken was like none other we have ever had. The chicken were tiny bite size pieces cooked so lightly with little crispy edges on each piece. I think this is the first time we have ever finished the whole meal at a Thai Restaurant I'm sure if there wasn't so many people around we would have licked the plates.

We would certainly go back again next time we are in Sydney it's only a short train trip and short stroll to Bungalow Thai from the Milsons Point Station.

The food was so reasonably priced as well :)

Party of 6 on New Year's Day. There were only two waiters, one of whom seemed to be either very nervous of spoke poor English. Two of us got our mains before our entrees, one never got his entree (after half an hour the explanation was it takes too long to make - it was fresh spring rolls), one got the main but without the rice that was ordered, then when rice came it was cold. After the rice was sent back they ultimately brought twice as much rice as was ordered (and then billed it). A couple of times food was brought that hadn't been ordered at all. The only positive I can say regarding the service is the waiters were not rude and they seemed to simply be in over their heads. At the end we were given two free desserts. We were told at the end that the kitchen staff are trainees. I'd like to hope this was an anomaly because it was New Year's Day and perhaps they normally have more staff. The food at least was reasonable, though the serving sizes were on the modest side.

Bungalow Thai , looked very inviting on a cold evening, the decor is mostly orangey /red and warm looking . We went at about 7.30pm. There were two other tables occupied. Service was prompt and the food nice. My partner and I ordered rice dishes both of which were attractively served. It was a "bring your own wine" establishment.
Just lacked something to push it into the good category.

Not quite the horror stories of others but I can sympathise with some of the problems. Nice starters but I'm glad we'd agreed to share the main courses as they came at separate times - we'd finished one dish before the other arrived.

Enjoyed the food but still wanted more - they didn't seem to do dessert. BYO wine from the store down the road with some corkage ($2). The bill was still quite expensive for 2 courses - mains were $25-$34.
