Fresh trout and home-cooked food make this a nice place to stop when birding and seeing the beautiful valley. What makes it special is her lunchtime ritual of putting fruit out for the birds. She pops out the back door everyday at the same time and whistles and nifty birds including the acorn woodpecker and flame-coloured tanager flock to feast. You're quite up-close and personal with the birds, much like at the nearby Paraiso de Quetzal. We visited there after an outing where we saw FIVE quetzals with our guide, Leo Garrigues.
All round, a nice way to spend an hour.
