We stayed for one night on our way to the Normandie. Isabelle and Jean-Claude directly made us feel welcome. The apartment was very nice and the breakfast was also very good. A la Ferme is highly recommendable! We will come back, when we are around.

My husband, Chris and I have never travelled overseas. This was the first place we stayed in, in Europe on our 8 week trip via train travel only. Not realising that Bayonvillers was quite a distance away from Villers-Brettoneux we were worried. We managed to get a taxi from villers to Bayonvillers. From the moment we arrived at a la ferme, we were treated wonderfully. Isobel assisted by kindly offering to drive us into villers to get food and supplies for our two night stay. Breakfast was amazing and the omelette that was made by jean-Claude was the best I have ever had. Skippy is the most adorable dog too, just loves to visit and have a scratch! Jean-Claude set up an area our the back overlooking the fields for Chris and I to sit back and relax with our wine.

The following morning on our day of departure, and after another awesome omelette, jean-Claude kindly drove us back into villers to catch our early train.

Whilst the rooms were not spectacularly decorated, the rooms had everything you needed, the bed was comfortable. The price was great too.

Thank you Isobel, Jean-Claude and Skippy for a wonderful stay :-)

Stayed for one night on our way from CDG to Holland. After a long flight a perfect short drive north of the airport to stay over, refresh and visit the surrounding memorials and Amiens. The only tip is byo your own soap. I was in heaven with a traditional French breakfast of omlette baguette cheese and jam! Got to practice my basic French with the very patient and friendly hosts. Not flash but great value for money and French country experience.

We stayed 4 nights and were very comfortable throughout a mix of cold and warm weather. It is well positioned to visit the WW I memorials and battlefields. We even drove up to Ypres on one day. The city of Amiens is worth a visit as well. Lots to see and do like the Hortillionagers, cathedral and hotel de ville. Your hosts, Isabelle and Jean-Claude are delightful people and very hospitable - providing advice, maps, local knowledge etc. The restaurant recommended was excellent and not expensive. The stairs are steep but if you plan well the visits up & down can be minimised. That said they do not detract from a comfortable and roomy self contained accommodation. Great value for money especially with wifi and J-C's daily omelette. We saved the baguette and added tomato and cheese etc for lunch. Thus two meals covered by the accommodation provisions. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and recommend it to any seeking value for money accommodation with lovely people.

This is a perfect base for a Somme visit, in fact we stayed for a week. The apartments are virtually self contained, roomy enough and are good value for the price you pay.
There is a communal bar if it is busy enough. We went on Anzac Day so it was great BBQ and lots of fun. The funniest part was watching Jean-Claude use a hair dryer to stoke up the BBQ!
Bayonvillers has no other commerce but the town is excellent to get to.
A good semi-rural experience of French life. Recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights in May 2013. The accomodation we found to be excellent given the cost was minimal. Isobel was full of information about the area and welcomed us both with a refreshing drink after a long trip to get there. Jean-Claude does not speak English but is a very cheerful person, and their dog Skippy is adorable.
Breakfast was typical French including a lovely omelette prepared with farm fresh eggs. If you wish to view typical French village life this is the area and we thoroughly recommend A La Ferme in Bayonvillers.

We stayed one night, on the day of a public holiday. We felt as if we were imposing on their day off.
Our room was nothing like the photographs. Our small double bed was very low to the floor, a firm solid foam mattress that didn't breathe. To make matters worse our bed was on the ground floor squeezed between the kitchen bar and the wall. Up stairs there were three small children's beds.
The bathroom was fine if you brought your own soap! I've never spent night where we have to supply our own soap and shampoo.
The 'well equipped kitchen' had plates and crockery, but not as much as a fruit or bread knife.
The breakfast was okay, however the manner of delivery reminded me of Fawlty Towers.
