This is one of the only batteries with the guns in tact, or at least some of the guns in tact. Only one of the four is off limits, and from the looks of it, that was the only one that may have questionable structural integrity. (Also the only one without a gun.) The other three allow you to crawl around in and around the gun, as it came to rest so many years ago. You can also walk through the back to bunk rooms or ammo storage, or whatever they were used for.

It's open-air, with no real hours. Bring some walking shoes and head towards the coast. Historical site, with a beautiful view!

Some impressive batteries that are in reasonable shape (considering the pounding the got). Probably best with some walking shoes as you can walk from the remnants towards the cliff top where the lookout post was (aiming control) which has stunning views. There is also a good but distant view of the Mulberry harbour remnants.

It's an eerie place - it's so peaceful now but the mind imagines the horrors there during the war. The views are amazing.

This is one of the few batteries on the Atlantic Wall where the guns remain in place. One has to admire the handicraft of the Todt organisation in their construction and the resilience of their concrete to the attention given to them by the Navy and the RAF!

WE visited the battery whilst on holiday in Normandy, and it was a very interesting experience. It is pretty much as it was for the soldiers in the war, and can walk down and around all the hideouts, Would recommend anybody to visit the battery as a must do whilst in Normandy,
