I spent 10 great days with my younger brother there. I've travelled all over the world and have seen better and worse accommodations, but if you look for a good, basic, budget, safe, reasonably clean place to stay close to the beach - the Casa Rosa is quite a good choice.
You get free transportation from/to the airport (approx. 40 min drive), the room has strong air conditioning and is cleaned up every second day, there is a shared-use kitchen with all the needed kitchenware (and many unneeded insects), a small pool and a large, comfortable sitting area.
Since we do not speak Spanish and there is hardly any English spoken on the island, it's been nice to have an owner (a rather strange fellow I will certainly not become best friends with), who speaks German as we do and who can give you some advice on were to find the supermarket, the bus station, the beach, a tour operator etc.
There are a lot of barking dogs, car sirens and crowing roosters in the area and they started with noisy roof work at 7 a.m. every day. So don't expect to get a long sleep, but hey, we didn't want to spend our vacation in the room anyways and rather enjoyed our time at the beautiful, nearly empty Playa el Agua beach (being low season). It's been a truly great holiday!More
