Very close to the paradise beach is posada casa rosa, with great security, electric plant in case of island power lack (which very common), very comfortable room with total privacy, airco, cable tv, minifridge, hot water, renovated Bathroom, all the comodities for a great holiday. They room service every 5 days. You can either cook in (cleaned kitchen every night) or have a spectacular breakfast at the beach...I totally recommend it specially for the quality/price/security deal. Ask the owner for special rates and promotions during low season and you will be amazed...

I have been there with my family during one week. The property is nice but they don't take care enough of it. The cleanliness is quiet scarce, the trash bin is not often changed, therefore it is very easy to find cocroach and flies everywhere in the kitchen. Additionally, the whole property is full of mosquitoes anytime and anywhere, and they are so much that early in the mornings you can be covered by a cloud of mosquitoes around you. Besides this animals, there are also cats which although they are all the time sleeping, their hairs are everywhere, sofas and other surfaces. So if you are allergic as I am, take this into account. The rooms are ok but with some little details it would be perfect. The sheets of the beds are very very old, the towels are old too, the door of the bathroom of the main bedroom was broken and the aircon is incredibly noisy. The owner doesn't provide with enough higienic paper, so you need to ask him everytime to give you more. He doesn't provide with drinking water for customers and the tap water is not potable, therefore he will ask you to pay for a gallon of water that everybody will use. We paid for 3 gallon of water while we stayed there, but everybody in the posada drank it. Water is not expensive at all (maybe 1 or 2 euros for 25L), he could provide with water for everybody and avoid problems of having some paying and others drinking. Internet conexion is slow. The owner is few pleasant, while we were there he used to drink far enough. We experienced how he throwed some customers out in the middle of the night because of problems with the rate of the room. The swimmingpool was not cleaned during our whole stay, as a result, 1 week later the water was very dirty and moreover you could get blue stains due to the paint of the lining of the swimmingpool.
The good is that is 10 minutes walking from the beach Playa El Agua, which is an fantastic beach and that was cheap.

A very nice Hotel close to the Playa el Agua beach which is fantastic.I stayed here with a friend for 5 days and we enjoyed every day thanks to this good location and a very nice owner.A very nice kitchen where you can use everything you need and later on just sit down on the sofas and relax.I strongly recommend this hotel to people traveling to Margarita. If I ever go back there I definately know where Im staying again :)

When was the last time you got to go nightclubbing with your hotel manager? Peter, the German proprietor of Posada Casa Rosa, is that kind of a guy. He owns the guest house together with Elena, his Russian wife. Peter keeps the place tidy. I stayed in the rear wing, which is new. My room was simple, but clean and comfortable. It came with a fridge, a TV, and the essential A/C. The common areas of the guest house offer a kitchen, a small pool, and some pretty landscaping. There is free wireless internet too. All this comes at a very reasonable price.

Playa El Agua has a beautiful beach with many restaurants and booze stands--just a few minutes' walk from the posada--, but not much more. There is a liquor store for the thirsty. And there is Henry's hamburger stand about 100 m from the posada for a quick bite. There are some fishing villages/towns nearby which also have gorgeous beaches. They seemed quite untouched by development, but then I was there during low season. I could have some of the beaches to myself. Rent a car and drive around, you will be glad you did. Porlamar, the only truly urban area on the island is about half an hour by car. There are buses too, but information on when and where they go is hard to come by.

Peter is quite a resource for advice on what to do and where to go. He took me shopping to the grocery store is in the next town. He also found me a rental car on short notice. He obviously enjoys running the posada and hanging out with his guests. He is a laid-back guy who lived in a number of countries and has many stories to tell. And yes, he is quite familiar with the nightclubs in Porlamar and you may just be able to convince him to give you the tour. (Hint: a few drinks seem to put him in nightclubbing mode.)

I had a good time on Margarita. Posada Casa Rosa was a great choice. I can only recommend it.

My friend and I are travelling through central-and southamerica. The posada is even better in real than described on their homepage. Nothing is missing...There is a well-equipped common kitchen to use,a nice common area to eat, relax and listen to music from the stereo boxes which are also present. In addition you are able to use the jacuzzi 24 hours as well as the beside standing grill for a barbecue.
The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. (a part from the pasada was just built in spring 2010). Rooms include your own bathroom with hot water, a fridge and a powerful air-conditioner.
The posada is led by a lovely German and his wife. Due to his life experience you can easily spend hours talking about different cultures and habits in the world. He also shows you the nearest supermarket and the island of margarita if requested.
All in all we really recommend this posada. I think it is one of the best choice in playa el agua and of good value too. When coming home from the beach,we felt like home every time and welcome! Thank you for the great time!
