“Ok food, good fruit juice”

We ordered the fish and chips and the mahi mahi tacos. The fish and chips were good but the tacos not so much. The fish smelled fishy and did not taste fresh. Not impressed at all. The fruit juices were good.

“Great food”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

This is a 'must do' place. Relaxing spot to watch the sea, beach and people. (Pity about the dogs roaming the place)
Salads are generous, with tasty dressing. Fish and chips the best in C R. Service was slow the second time we went, though we didn't mind too much as we had a front line table and enjoyed gazing out to sea.

This may be one of the best places I've ever eaten. The food is fresh and delicious. If I could, I'd eat here everyday. Amazing!!

“Tropical Paradise”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

Our trip to Costa Rica included a number of visits to Lola's - a great restaurant in Playa Avellanas. The food, drinks, and service were exceptional. The owner even made an exception for me as they were cleaning-up the kitchen (I got another order of nachos on our last night - really topped off our excellent trip).

We always ordered the mojitos (Andrey definitely makes them the best), pizza, and nachos. The servers and bartenders were great. Some of the best service we had was from: Jefry, Otto, Christian, Nicol, Javier, Alex (mono), and Alex H. These employees made us feel right at home, introduced us a little more to the Costa Rican culture (we even saw many of them trying their luck in the bull ring at a local fiesta), and were very prompt and accurate with all of our orders.

You can't get a better view for the sunset, but get there early as the kitchen closes at 5pm and everyone gathers for drinks as the sun sheds its last bits of light. Don't forget to say hello to their pig (Lola) while there, you can find her pen on the way to the bathroom.

Amazing view, food, and drinks. We will definitely be returning there for many years to come when we visit CR.

“Pizza at the Beach”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

We were recommended to pay at least one visit to Lola's. Very hip and cool beach front restaurant. We ordered and enjoyed 2 pizza's and a great salad. The staff was friendly and helpful, considering all the action going on they were also personable. The Margarita I ordered was sent back for the terrible taste and quickly replaced with a pina colada which was delicious. If you like people watching and action filled restaurants you will love Lola's worth at least one visit.
