This hotel is a little out of the way, but it is well worth it. The property is just gorgeous. Landscaping full of mango and poinciana trees, furnishings were unique. Bed was extremely comfortable. Additional porch available that you can screen in. Service and food was amazing. The beach is rocky and there are warnings everywhere that you are not advised to swim in the ocean. Make sure you are well packed before you get here as you can't pop in to a store easily if you forget something.

Dear Guest;

There is a lot of Mango trees, Orange Trees, Marañones Trees and other fruit trees from the entrance all the way through the Resort.

The Hacienda is very nice to walk in or run and is very safe.

We are glad you like our Guanacaste Style.

Regards;

Yes, this resort is larger than the Four Seasons, and access is by dirt road, but the service blows away the Four Seasons Guanacaste. Very nice rooms, staff, restaurants, spa and service. I say Four Stars only because nowhere in Costa Rica offers TRUE five star service, but this is as close as you will find.

Absolutely a beautiful hotel, service above and beyond! We were there during rainy season (rained an hour one afternoon). It was not busy, very peaceful. Beach is nice but small and rocky. It was quite beautiful though. The breakfast buffet was amazing! All our meals at the hotel were excellent.
It is in a remote location and there was a 20 minute, very bumpy ride to Tamarindo. It would be much faster if the roads were paved. Everyone from the shuttle drivers, to the concierge, to the poolside waiters were fantastic! Rooms were spotless and had great views.

Dear Guest;

Thank you for your wonderful comments about your stay.

We are pleased to know that you have enjoyed your meals at the Resort and service.

From May through October is not very busy if you don’t like a place to be crowded this is the best time.

Place is a bit secluded. Located on a beautiful beach. Resort is beautiful, including the rooms. Only complaint is that it's a 20 - 30 minute drive to Tamarindo which is the area we wanted to be most of the time.

This resort is incredibly beautiful. Imagine your day starting on a large king bed in this spacious and with wood equipped room. Then you go for a refreshing workout in the gym were you did not need to bring anything: towels (normal and cooled out of the fridge), water, cardio equipment with individual TV. Simply heaven. After jumping under the shower you enjoy the sunny hours at the pool where you find yourself with zen music and very friendly personnel asking whether you would like to order something, which of course you would get in a cooler with ice. The pool lets you swim until you can't see the water anymore, crossing the whole resort and ending with infinity at the beach side. After being able to have lunch on your very own sun lounger brought to you by the same very nice personnel, you begin to wonder whether there is anything more relaxing in the world. Thus, at night you can again have a swim in the pool (as it is open 24 hours), enjoy the beautifully lit-up hotel facilities or you eat at one of the fabulous restaurants. Even though it is a shame that the beach restaurant does not offer barbecue for dinner but Italian, it is still my favorite restaurant due to the atmosphere. It really is a great hotel and it was hard to leave. Especially the staff makes it worthwhile.

Room Tip: If you have a Garden room, choose one in the back of the hotel. There are Garden rooms in the front "facing" the pool if you can call it so (there is something like a terrace/garden) and people are passing by all the time. We were in the back and also stayed on the terrace a while and nobody was passing by. Much more quiet and relaxing!

Dear Guest;

Wow ! Reading your review is easy for me to know that your stay was pure relaxation and I am glad.

I would take in consideration your comment about offer barbecue for dinner at the Azul Grill which for me is my favorite too.

Thank you for your time and we hope to be your host again in a near future.

Sincerely;
